My theory on why stuff is missing is that something late in development screwed them up. Maybe something similar to the weird texture glitch on the one sleeve all last year. But it did it to everything, and they had to go back through and fix them. That's why stuff was there in the Tech Test and is still there in the Interface, but not in the game. They finish fixing it in time, so they're still working on it and adding stuff in as they have it ready.

Obviously, I have nothing that says this is true. It's just a theory based on stuff going missing and I'm some of it being added like 2 days after Early Access started. But I think it'll all get added back in eventually. Hopefully pretty quick.

I agree with this theory 100%. Small batches of reintroduced equipment to reduce variables.

Hopefully we get an update with the Nike catchers gear sometime soon. It's a real shame not having it in Franchise mode.

So considering that the game officially releases at midnight tonight, would a typical day one patch be announced before midnight or would it release Tuesday morning?

Unfortunately patch #3 didn't release until 14 days after early access last year

I’m beyond frustrated with this game at this point. Every year I hope they’ll add more options when it comes to equipment. I want the same level of equipment option editing as 2K has. They’ve shown it is more than possible. For example, the adidas and Jordan batting gloves are stuck with a white logo. But I’ve seen real games where the logo is a team color. Even the pictures of the fielding gloves are more detailed than what we can do. I’ve tried to recreate the exact glove pictured and I can’t. I’m on PS5, I was expecting some options that they said weren’t possible on PS4 because it was maxed out. Was that bs? The Show is still my favorite game but it is by far the game of the 3 I buy per year (Madden, 2K, The Show) that is lacking the most. I realize wall and player collisions isn’t equipment related, but the fact those still aren’t in next gen, combined with all the missing/limited option equipment, I’m getting frustrated. And I believe it’s justified at this point.

What drives me crazy is this game releases every year with the same problems. There are always upgrades to the game, and sometimes those upgrades are substantial. But what is the point of the title update process if you consistently release a game that is not as feature-complete as last year’s version after it was patched all year. Those additions should not be gone. I don’t think the equipment had to be removed to fix the flickering from ‘21 because the tech test had Nike catchers equipment, and it ran great with no flickering at all. Just some clarification would be great so we understand whether or not to expect it.

Considering that there is branded gear in the various trailer promos, we as consumers are right to believe that they will be in the game. Otherwise, wouldn't that be false advertising?

This how equpiment thing is frustrating but they introduced some equipment in the last update and now the game is freezing and a host of other issues.

I wonder if these things are related to equipment and is also the reason we dont have all the equipment yet

Generally all of their patches create at least 2 or 3 problems that weren’t there before. That’s pretty much par for the course.
