Critical Situations

Is critical situations broken on 19? In years past it worked just fine but including spring training I've simmed about 35 games and not once has it stopped and asked me to play a critical situation, and yes, I do have it turned on.

I don't think they happen in Spring Training. But they definitely happen in the regular season. 35 games including ST is what....7-8 regular season games? Not that unusual to not see one in that time frame, though it varies.

I just started up a fresh franchise to check and had like 15 of them just in April. It's the Cubs and they found themselves in a lot of close games, so YMMV. Also Almora had a recurring player lock for a hitting streak so that was some of it too.

Why not sim ahead a bit and see if some show up? I'd turn off autosave before doing that though, if you have it enabled.

I'm at the end of April and they haven't popped up yet. I only sim one day at a time so I make sure I don't miss any days scouting people.

That might be it - my sim from before was through the calendar. I simmed through May as a continuation from what I did earlier, except I did it from the main franchise screen like you said and didn't get any.

It would make sense - if you notice, the critical situations toggle on the franchise home only appears when you're hovering over the calendar button - not while you're on the lower menu. So that might indicate it's only active when you're in the calendar screen.
