    Need "throw canceling indicator"

Title says it all. I cannot tell you how many times I've pressed the wrong button only to throw cancel over and over again, allowing everyone to advance. Why we don't have an "indicator" or "overlay" for where the fielder is throwing next is beyond comprehension.

There is an indicator for where the fielder is throwing the ball when using Buttons as the throwing interface and having the throwing meter on.

I don't know if its used on Button Accuracy or Pure Analog as I don't use those throwing mechanics.

But there is an option available if you decide that you want to use it.

I use buttons too but have the throwing meter turned off. How does that work when throw canceling? In other words, does it show which base is currently "selected"?

With the "meter" on for Buttons input (which, let's face it, isn't much of a meter when it doesn't increase/decrease at all - it's just a visual aid), it'll show you the direction of the base you're preparing to throw to. Not the cardinal direction representing each base, just a straight line on where the fielder is relative to the base he's throwing to. You can still cancel it up until the thrower releases the ball.

Turning the meter on for Buttons input isn't going to affect your experience too much unless you're the pure clean-screen type - you're still heavily subject to the fielder's throw ratings. If being able to identify which base you're geared up to throw it to is that important to you, I'd suggest leaving it on so you have that visual aid.

As you see in the video, it will show you which base/direction your fielder is currently throwing towards. If you cancel the throw, then the arrow indicator disappears until you select a new base/direction to throw the ball.
