I hope SDS has the foresight (and MLB's blessing) to make this optional like such as the DH. and knowing as little as I do about coding, I would think this would be relatively simple and even if it doesn't make it in the Show in time for March, it should be in one of the first patches.

and now the question becomes: will you carry 13 position players & 13 pitchers, or 14 position & 12 pitchers? I'm assuming most OS'ers will carry 13 pitchers but for those who carry 12 pitchers, will you now carry 3 catchers?

Most likely 14 pitchers and 12 position players. There were MLB teams primarily using 13 pitchers so I think they'll be fine with an extra arm instead of an extra bench spot.

If they follow mlb rules the rumored max number of pitchers on an active roster is 13.

Should have info releasing soon. First twitch steam was February 7th last year and the release date has moved up.

Doesn't change that at all. Only difference is it's a 26 man roster instead of 25. 40 man still exists with the only change coming with September call-ups. Instead of all 40 guys on an MLB roster at once it decreases to 28.

So I was thinking about the 90 man rosters again. And I guess what I meant was right now we have 25 players on MLB, AAA, and AA. Then we have 15 players in Single A. That adds up to 90 players.

But now in MLB 20 we will have 26 on MLB. 25 on AAA and AA. 15 on Single A. That adds up to 91. Maybe I am over thinking lol.

My guess is that since Single A isn't playable the roster breakdown will be:

MLB - 26 man roster
AAA - 25 man roster
AA - 25 man roster
A - 14 man roster

I don't foresee them expanding the rosters to 91, or even greater, this year.

One thing I'm certain though, is that this roster change to 26 players, had to be a development headache in terms of getting it work with carryover saves/franchises

Been confirmed. 3 batter minimum is in MLB 20. Someone on reddit confirmed it.
