Will MLB 20 have the new Mets, Astros and Red Sox managers?

I was wondering if anyone knows if Sony will have time to add the new managers to the game?

I’d assume yes since the game isn’t coming out for 2 months.

They can add managers through a roster update. I don't know the certification process for them though. They have a union and their likeness is dependent on factors most of us here don't know.

Some managers and coaches do not appear in game even after being in the position for awhile.

No doubt they will just be generic fake managers sadly. Just like 2028 when Boston and Yankees both had that.

It probably depends on who the teams hire. If Showalter or Baker get hired its more likely they will be in the game compared to a first year manager.

lets hope it wont matter anymore going forward and all coaches and mgrs. names will be part of the Shows many new customisables.

current scandal aside, I think Beltran would have wild success managing. I think in the long run, if all that matters is W&L's (and obviously they aren't), the Mets are hurt by not having Beltran. He's still young enough, he could still get another shot at running a team in a few years, if he rehabilitates his image. Hinch and Cora too. But there was just no way Beltran was going to have credibility with guys like Stroman in NY. Maybe in a few years we see Beltran coaching or even managing in KC.

I'd like to echo the wish for customizable managers and coaches. I'd love to have an alternate reality where the Giants hired anyone but Gabe Kapler for the managerial role.

They said there will be the option to re-locate and re-name teams, so at least that's something new for Franchise.

As for the managers, I think they will just have them as part of an update. It wouldn't be too hard to add Rojas or whoever Houston and Boston hire.

has the show ever added managers in the game before?. from a roster update? or just a patch update?? because that would suck having to wait till May for a roster update for a manager to be added knowing if you start a franchise with a different roster base it won't have them in the game.

I could be wrong, but I think in 2018 Alex Cora and Aaron Boone were added through a roster update.
