Create a player in MLB does not “lag” behind NBA 2k in my opinion.
At least you can create a muscular body other types and are not given generic pre face canvas to work on. I feel MLB can improve but it’s still better than NBA 2k...as far as Madden...they need a complete overhaul in their edit create a player modes .

The crowd still at times doesn’t react appropriately ... the volume and animations are there ... but like loud and cheering insanely loud at the wrong situation. Like sports games have had this wrong for like 40 years. The crowd animations are GREAT, various volumes. Just need those to fire off at certain points.

Might be a no go for PS4, but lighting and grass are incredibly lacking in this game to the point it disturbs me now that I go to games in real life.

Home run cameras

I don’t hate the HomeRun Celebration cam that goes behind the player watching it land in the seats but sometimes you don’t even see the thing land because the players blocks it.

But when it’s not the HomeRun Celebration can can we PLEASE see the ball land! How often do you see the ball leave the frame and it cuts to the batter rounding first base. Especially when it’s a second deck homerun you have no idea where it ends up unless you get lucky and the replay shows it.

Just axe vasgersian i know they wont because there is close ties with him to when he was in san diego but geez its bad. Havent had commentary on in 3 years.

This might not be something they can do until PS5, but I'd love to see actual weather effects on the game. If it is raining I'd like to see water collect and effect the game. This could also lead to the decision from the umps to keep going or delay. Would be another cool thing to add.

I also agree with commentary and would love to see a second team added. I've felt since they added the different broadcast overlays we should get a home team/B team and the A team being exclusive to MLB Network games.

Crowd reactions and involvement definitely needs to be updated and tweaked as others have said. Big games should feel like big games. There is no reason an April game should feel the same as Game 7 of the World Series.

I've been saying this for a while. Dirt and grass need some major help. Hopefully on next gen consoles, these will vastly improve.

Also, water droplets on equipment (bats, gloves, batting helmets), the dugouts, and rain darkening the field's dirt would be great to see.

That's correct. Matt isn't leaving this series until he decides he wants to, and insists. Thats just the way it is. I was a fan of his commentary in the early years, but it just too stale now. It really would feel like a fresher game with a new voice.

Music, score bugs, stat swipes, fonts. It’s certainly different.

Mlb 2K baseball used to have a pitch speed slider for both pitching and hitting, loved that for presentation purposes while pitching. I could crank it all the way up. Would be cool if they incorporated that.

Another presentation piece would be to have a toggle for home run presentations on quick play.

I’d like to see them add an actual game summary late in the game. The linescore is not a summary. Show the key players stat lines.

I hope they bring back real time presentations. I hate how everything cuts off at times. I'd much rather watch the catcher throw the ball back to the pitcher every pitch (which would actually been cool the new camera stuff they do between pitches). By bringing this back I think it would help out in the commentary portion as well. At times these guys get cut off at the end of an inning or during an out cause everything happens too fast.
