If they have added more MILB teams, or just added more roster space, that will get my attention. If Spring Training has been revamped, and they have added in more spring ballparks, I may come back to MLBTS, instead of going the route of OOTP, like I have the past 2 yrs. A better sim engine, for stats will definitely get my attention too, if that has been improved.
The Show has always been a great game, but the Franchise mode just got stale for me, so I made the switch to OOTP, the past 2 yrs, because I felt the Sony was going the route that Madden and NBA2k has with fantasy gimic modes and Franchise mode was getting the shaft.  I hope this is a good sign, that Franchise mode is taking a major step forward, if so they will get me back.

It is simple for me. Unless Franchise mode gets new features that improve the realism and immersion, I am skipping this year. Bought the past 3 years, get bored with franchise mode and trade it in to gamestop.*

I think people interpret changing location as relocation.

damn, I read that 10 times earlier today and froze up at ‘‘rebrand your team in franchise’’, never even read further ‘‘franchise lets you change team name location & logos’’. the logo change is definitely awesome. Maybe it's time to rebrand Houston as the Colt .45's. or better yet, just move them entirely to Tennessee.

Does Change location and logo mean that I will now be identified as "The Home Team" takes the field? Will have a new logo and team name with a home Stadium that still has Mets Logos everywhere? Will they have generic stadiums with none of your "new" logos anywhere to be found? Will the crowd of my new team be generic people with none of my new logo jerseys anywhere? Will I actually have post-play options like throwing the ball around or will it just be your normal routine of Pitch, field, throw to base and repeat. Remember MVP 2005 had the ability to toss the ball around after the play? That added so much fun to the game. Remember All-star baseball 2003, after the play you can throw the ball around the infield and even toss the ball to your outfielders. This helped you get a feel for how the players animations worked and just made for a fun game. This Rinse and Repeat structure of baseball isn't working for me. I am still on the fence about even wasting my money on The Show this year. The past 2 years, i have waited until it hit the $19.99 price point before purchase. I miss playing good baseball games. MVP 2006 was the last game I really played for any length of time.

There are a bunch of pre-recorded names for DD, so as long as you pick one of them you should be announced as your actual name, like in DD.

Tbh, on the face of it, the franchise changes seem pretty easy to do as they are essentially the start screen when you start up DD for the first time. (where you type in a name, location, select audio name and colour scheme) If it also has the uniform and logo editor from DD then that would also be good and pretty easily done, but then I wonder how many uniforms we could create? I very much doubt they can get logos or colour schemes into the stadiums as DD doesn't have that and it sounds pretty complicated and like a potential legal mine field. (it'd be a lot easier if they had a handful of generic stadiums which automatically adopted the colour scheme/logos of a team)

It depends whether they've added any more depth to it, but as I said, on the face of it is should be fairly straight forward. Just putting DD assets into franchise to make superficial changes to your team.

This is what I am worried about. Even if they add real minor leaguers that is mostly a database thing. They can import rosters, positions etc in.

There needs to be logic changes that accompany it. The major franchise "feature" of real contracts was underwhelming since they could be edited anyway by the user, like rosters, but many if us did not because the logic didn't take into account the changes.

Hopefully the rule changes of the trade deadline set at July 31 are in this year as well as logic changes for 26 man and callups.

Edit: less optimistic when seeing the post at shownation. Franchise is a not highlighted. It's a sub from rtts.

I'm more interested in if they fixed the automatic comebacks by the CPU late in games to make it more interesting? It got old if you play franchise mode for most of the season then sim to playoffs.

Might not have the full re-location features but I am at least glad for what is included.
