not personally interested in the new outfield catch & throw indicators, as I play with fielding meters off, but I am intrigued in the difference with the expansion of the first step system and how it will mesh with good/bad jumps. I also wonder if these will give us a couple new player quirks.

Lots of good stuff so far...but..still waiting to see if cpu baserunning aggressiveness can addressed.
Would love to see a separate rating or attribute for baserunning aggressiveness that doesn’t tie into stealing ...

In regards to infielder button accuracy, I imagine it's a change to be even more like MVP Baseball's, where the meter zones would fluctuate based on fielder ratings and positioning (off-balanced or flat-footed, going to and away from the bag, etc.), emphasizing the risk/reward of accurate but soft throws on the go or firing with more inaccuracy trying to beat the runner.

CPU baserunning is indeed a part of gameplay that needs major help. I've brought it up (with video evidence) as much, if not more, than many other people on these forums.

100% this is an area of the game that needs an update

Button Accuracy always gets updated, Pure Analog, is still left without updates and always buggy at release.

Ditto that...your spot on. Need to see a baserunner attribute separate from base stealing attribute. Have not seen in 19 yet a Cpu baserunner challenge outfielders stretching singles to doubles..going from first to third ect...it’s either uncontested as they walk standing up or they hold at first not advancing as they should.
More aggressive baserunning for cpu in 20 I’m hoping

They specifically said on the this stream that CPU baserunners will be more aggressive based on the throw ratings of outfielders now. We just need to see it in action on the retail version.

This better be fixed in 20 or I am just going to cry lol

I just played a game in MLB The Show 19 and the CPU with a 77 speed rating hit a ball to the left of the right fielder that went all the way to the wall and he stops at first base for a single. Even a batter with a 20 speed rating should at least try and make it to second base on these type of hits!!!

No way this would ever happen in real life on this type if hit. And if it did the fans and news media outlets would let this guy have it!!!

I see these poor CPU base running decisions all the time when playing the CPU!

And I know the SDS developer said it will be much better in 20 but this has been an issue for like ever and I just have a hard time believing it will not be an issue once again in 20.

I am not sure what needs to change in order to fix this but perhaps SDS should make all the base runners faster especially the slow rated ones as they seem almost too slow compared to real life.

Maybe that sort of issue lies in something else. I have a 20 speed 1B that hits liners off the wall and stop at first all the time because by the time he is at 1B, the OF is already about to throw the ball back to the IF. I considered upping his speed but that's cheating.
