How Does RTTS Rosters Work When Importing into the New Release

I'm in year three of my RTTS character. I've uploaded into the next year's release of MLBTS each of the past two years. I only play one season at a time. But something crossed my mind yesterday night. Will the players always carry over into the next year's release? I seem to play against alot of players that I've never heard of and can only assume are fake players from the minors.

I wonder if this will be affected at all by the release of MLBTS20 with the (possible) inclusion of real minor league players. I'd hate to start over at this point.

Or maybe each fake player is associated with some sort of player ID number, so that perhaps the real minor league players names will overwrite the fake players names.

I suppose this would be the same question that can be asked for importing a previous franchise mode save into MLBTS20.

    Any thoughts?

Unless something changes, the roster you're currently playing with will be the roster that carries over into MLB '20.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
