Miami Marlins will be reverted to the Florida Marlins and will be moving back into Old Miami Stadium from the atrocious water fountain one.

I plan to move Tampa Bay, but not quite sure yet.

I played around with uniform editor in DD today and I am excited to move the Rays to Montreal. You can make some legit looking Expos jerseys with some of the vault logos.

one problem I see is you won't be able to share the teams you create. I guess you can always download the logos and create the uniform yourself but it would nice if you were able to share/download thru the vault.

Did they say that for the relocated teams if you say choose an MLB stadium will the stadium have banners,names of the new team name? They sort of do it in DD only on the scoreboard and some of the displays. Probably will be the same.

only the boards that change will have your team on it, but the rest of the park(the static displays) will all keep the actual teams stuff on it. Say for example you decide to move a team and use Turner Field as your teams home field. Well you have to unfortunately stare at Big Braves Logo above the jumbotron, and all the retired Braves Jerseys in Left. personally, it will just feel really weird but im sure people can get past that.

A's to Vegas.

Would be nice to have expansion to Montreal and either Mexico or Puerto Rico.

Since we can't realign the divisions/conferences, I think I'll move the Rays to Montreal. Seems to be a good fit geographically with the other team in their division and maybe I can create a Toronto/Montreal rivalry storyline.

I'm thinking about running with the storyline that ownership held a "name your team" contest and narrowed the finalists are as follows:

Expos, Saints, Devil Rays, Ospreys - shameless plug, what can I say?

If you want to relocate/rebrand 2 teams you could always just move over all the players on each team to the other team then rebrand the teams when you start the franchise as a bit of a workaround for not being able to actually realign the divisions. Then it’s like if you swapped the two teams to each other’s division. Could be wrong but I think as far as we know if you rebrand you lose the actual team’s alts and throwbacks anyway.

Unless I’m missing something the only problem I can think of with that is if the commentary is going to keep referencing who the relocated/rebranded team originally was.

I don't recall the DEVs mentioning this, but at the start of the games the PA announcer usually says something like "Welcome your 2019 [insert team name here" as the players take the field before the first pitch.

I am wondering if the game will:

1) Announce your new re-branded team name though I wonder how this could happen for uncommon names that don't have an audio recording.

2) Continue to announce the original team name which basically breaks the immersion of a re-branded franchise.

3) Or simply removes the announcement.

Only time will tell I guess.

If I understood the developer correctly on the stream he said relocation occurs during the off season. I'm planning to relocate my current carry over franchise which is Pirates.

I chose the Pirates because I like the challenge of a low payroll team and I like the NL Central.

If I could relocate and realign the divisions I've move Miami to the NL Central and Milwaukee to the NL East and re-brand Miami. I doubt re-alignment will be available so I plan to relocate my carry over Pirates.

Those are my exact plans. I’ve always wanted to do a Franchise with both teams but can’t get past the terrible stadiums.

What plans do you have for team names and what Stadiums are you going to use?

I also want to move A's but I love their unis, can we move the city and stadium but keep all the unis?

Only team name I can think of that might be in the game is "Tourists" for Orlando. I'd keep Rays for Charlotte. A's stays for Vegas. Expos also for Montreal.

I'd use a spring training stadium for Vegas and/or Puerto Rico.

Spent this year revamping my legendary players I'm hopeful that I will be able to take my franchise which I just started and create uniforms and change team names etc.

If I have to start a new franchise to get all the goodies can't I just send up this franchise to the vault then download it and start a new franchise with my legendary players and be able to have access to the new offerings?
I admit it's very confusing to me any feedback would be helpful thank you

I hope Nashville is one of the cities. I’d relocate the Marlins there for a good rivalry with the Braves.

I won't know if all my concerns surrounding re-branding a team and the audio aspects will be addressed until I get my hands on the game. But I have pretty much decided that on day #1 of MLBTS 20 being released, I will fire up a new franchise and re-brand the Washington Nationals into the Montreal Expos and have them play out of the old Miami stadium (which is a dump, but the Big O is also a dump so it should be a good match). Now some people might claim I am taking an easy way out with a new franchise what with the Nationals being a talented team. But I am looking forwards to a hard fought season since the NL East should be very competitive this year with the Braves, Mets and Phillies also having good teams.
