IN MO mode do they still have you make a decision on every pitch? Like swing away, bunt, hit and run, pitch, pitch around, etc? Or did they change it so the game just flows and when you want to make a decision then you interrupt the flow? I never understood why they made you hit a button on every pitch both on offense and defense.

Didn't you have to select Pitch and Hit Away each pitch?

You can let the game flow, and manage as little or as much as you want. For me, I don't call pitches. I let my pitcher and catcher do the job. I will on occasion say pitch to batter if I think the pitcher is being timid, or pitch around if he is to aggressive. Same with batting, I will have some gys take pitch till they get a strike. Things like that, or if I want a hit and run or sac bunt, etc. But for the most part, I let the game play out.

To try and curve the pitch per innings and pitch per at bat, I'm going to try lowering FF to 2 and see how it plays. I'll report back later. Going to try to get at least 7-10 games in

One slider that seems to help by making batters more aggressive is moving the "strike frequency" slider up to 6. It does mention that changing that will change the AI strategy. I see a lot more batters hitting the ball much earlier in the counts much more frequently. In fact, I've even had a couple pitchers get to the 8th inning in under 100 pitches which I never saw before.

The foul frequency really didn't make any difference for me.

The FF, I noticed a lot less 8+ pitch at bats. I still saw a couple (which is more realistic), but no where near the amount before. It was more clear which I was fine with. Batters had 0 to 2 instead of 5 or 6. Foul numbers were fine, but I did notice a little higher swing and miss %.

No. You have the option (in presentation screen) to change delay between 2,4,6 sec. or you can hit O I think it is. I never hit it, I have my delay set to 4 seconds

Actually, the pitchers don't feed any more fat pitches than before. The number of hits, on average, hasn't changed. I think what it actually does is change batter strategy. Even my batters aren't standing around for 5 pitches.

I have the delay set at 6 seconds because I DO want to make some decisions, steal a base/hit and run, pick off, bunt for hit, etc., etc., even with pitch strategy. If I have a 1-2 count on the opposing batter (and I DO use quick counts) I will throw a pitch up and in, or high, or down and away, etc., etc. to try to get the batter to chase. If I want to just continue with the flow I press X and"O" and don't have to wait the 6 seconds. It becomes second nature and doesn't slow the game down. I moved over to MOM from playing and enjoy it thoroughly.

I love playing MoM. It has brought back a enjoyment for me. I just can't play competitive anymore. Just don't have the skill anymore.
I love the 4 sec bc it makes me have to think on my feet quickly. If I called pitches though, I'd move to 6 sec as well. Pit hing is the only part I don't override.

It sounds like they have manager mode and what sounds like a "catcher" mode combined. I'd love to have a catcher mode where you call the pitches and location and the pitcher and pitch is handled by the cpu. You could actually be both manager and catcher I guess.

I know you can pretty much do this in the game as a manager today, but I'd love a catcher mode and view and just let the pitcher pitch to you...just seems a bit more realistic. Catchers look for signs from the manager IRL for sure, but they usually do not start the game that way or do so on every pitch. They call a game based on pitcher's and hitter's tendencies, etc.

Just a small difference, I concede...

I know it won't happen, but I really wish they would add MOM back into a Play Now option. I've been playing this mode for a few days again but really don't feel like doing it via a franchise mode. Would love to be able to just play a random game this way.

Oh, me too man. I was so disappointed when they buried this mode in another mode.

Do any of you play with lopsided sliders? Hum set differently then cpu? Any one play on a different difficulty?

It's a shame when people have to start off with...I know it won't happen, but some developers don't care all that much about what players want unless it has something to do with them making more $.
