Looks like a nice addition for what it is, but I’m one of those who dreams about online franchise. It bums me out to see other games have it when The Show is my game of choice and otherwise the best sports game on the planet.

    But I won’t harp on it...I still want online co-op too...I admit it, I am a dreamer.

Yeah I mean I get peeps being bummed, but it's clear what it is and is not, and they didn't try to hide it. I personally like this more than 2K or Madden for a single season with a load of users because I'm confident it will be stable and flexible, but the multi-season aspect is obviously lacking when it comes to all the extras.

And it obviously won't really be very exciting for people who just want to play with 2 or 3 people for an extended period. This is more just for competitive stuff in year one.

I understand in this ''year 1 reboot'', a lot of people probably didn't get everything they wanted... but this is 100% better than what they had with 18 & 19.

I don’t understand why they refuse to put in online co-op. They already have a system implemented for it to work for couch co-op all they have to do is give us the ability to invite someone. My friend and I have been dying to play a franchise on the same team together for years now

It would be interesting to see where they got the feedback from that guided these decisions. The DD side looks solid and more thought out than the MLB side. Especially since they had a base MLB setup that they could have stopped short of the full franchise experience.

I was very disappointed by the video and stopped watching when they said it would be the daily MLB roster.

                There will be no fatigue
                No injuries
                No budget/fa
Only your top 25/26 no farm system
Progression driven by new roster version and not your results

I think it is just a way to have more people using DD given how limited the mlb roster seems to be.
Similar to giving prospects. Prospects means more DD cards on a single team.

I think this is it the world as it is. I think as long as they don’t shutdown the real franchise it is ok people who really like MLB baseball can still play the game but offline.

There's no way for the game to know what your local opponent's PSN ID is, so no.

All the legacy issues, need for online franchise, and need for a deeper offline franchise mode and of course, like all video game makers, they make a new mode.  Because new modes sell games, while saying "we fixed legacy issues" doesn't.

Other games have this feature, such as Rock Band 4, Rocket League, LittleBigPlanet 3; it could be built into The Show and it would be brilliant.

You can't play these league games offline sitting in same room on 1 PS4, But if you had 2 PS4's hooked up and both had PSN membership and was in a league together then you could.

There is fatigue, at least on the pitcher side.
