I'm a uniform junkie so the first thing I'll do is go through every team (MLB & MiLB) and check out their threads. I'll also play an exhibition game in the new Rangers ballpark. I'll check out the Padres minor league roster and begin a franchise with them in their new gear. So happy the ownership was finally able to #BringBackTheBrown.

Re: The Show 20 Release Day/Week Plans?
First thing I’ll be doing is going through the rosters and just seeing how the prospects look and everything else. Plan on jumping into a franchise right away. I’m a Braves fan but I live in Wisconsin so I’ll probably start one with the Brewers. Hoping to play about 10-15 games during spring training and this will be the time I mess with sliders. then playing every game during regular season. I feel like having majority of the prospects day one will be easier to get into a franchise and sticking with it longer. Hoping to play the entire weekend without many interruptions lol

Re: The Show 20 Release Day/Week Plans?
My #1 priority will be to carry over a number of different RTTS characters from 19 to 20.
#2 priority will be to use the stubs and player packs I will get from the MVP release to attempt to pickup some Diamond gear (mainly for the bat and glove) for these RTTS players and with what little stubs I have left I will pick up Gold gear for everything else.
#3 priority will be to inspect the default rosters to determine if I need to wait a few days before starting a new Franchise because I want to rebrand the Washington Nationals as the Montreal Expos.
#4 priority if the rosters are good to go will be to play some games with my rebranded Expos franchise. But if I feel I need to wait a few days for a new roster to drop, I always have my RTTS guys and I will play some of their games.
#5 priority once I am playing franchise and RTTS games is to closely monitor game play to determine what if any slider tweaks will be necessary. It's unknown at this time if the "ratings matter" defensive changes SDS have made to MLBTS20 will have an effect on the slider settings.Comment

Re: The Show 20 Release Day/Week Plans?
Usually every year at release I begin by starting a RTTS character because I won’t start a franchise until the OSFM rosters drop. This year with the game shipping with the full minors rosters I can’t even contain my excitement to check those out and probably start my franchise right away. Honestly I don’t know how much play time I’ll actually get with RTTS this year thanks to the full minors rosters and new online leagues.
Plans for when the game releases:
-check out the full minors rosters and probably start a franchise right away
-start getting together the online league I plan on starting with a couple of people (We have quite a few people in my madden league that play the show so we have a good core to start the league with)
-Get in to Diamond dynasty from the start, the last couple of versions I’ve gotten in to it later on but actually had a lot of fun with it. In my opinion DD far surpasses MUT for me for card collecting modes. The biggest factor is the fact that you earn stubs while playing other modes so I don’t feel like I have to focus on just DD to be competitive. Another big factor is how much less toxic the online game play is just based on the fact it’s a lot harder to abuse/cheese the a.i. in a baseball game than it is in a football game. I had a lot of fun with DD last year once I actually started playing it and am excited to get started with it right away.
-Finally IF I have some time start a RTTS, I really need to start utilizing the carry over save feature to get further in to the mode one of these versions of the game.Last edited by Shosum13; 03-02-2020, 03:20 PM.Comment

Re: The Show 20 Release Day/Week Plans?
Pickup at Gamestop 9PM on the 12th. Install and patch. Run a mock fantasy draft to see where the players I want tend to get taken. Draft my team that night.
Took off work on Friday, so drop my kid off at daycare and play a couple spring games to get a sense of sliders and the new gameplay mechanics (throw meter, playing line drives to OF). Then date night w/ the wife.
Saturday, get up early. Sim spring, adjust ratings (if progression still sucks) and sneak in opening day. Then be a dad.
Sunday, I'll try to play a game in the morning too.Comment

Re: The Show 20 Release Day/Week Plans?
1. The basics like settings and looking over the rosters checking out ratings and prospects.
2. Play an exhibition game to get a feel for any gameplay changes but I doubt there will be much to adjust to.
Playing as the Yankees with Cole pitching vs ?. Maybe @ Texas to take care of both things I want to do in one exhibition game.
3. As long as there’s no major bugs that need to be patched first and the roster looks good, hopefully finish deciding on my franchise team after another look at some teams rosters and get going with it.
4. Last and sometime after that, get some SOTS set up.Comment

Re: The Show 20 Release Day/Week Plans?
I’m not expecting anything game breaking that would require a franchise restart to fix, could be forgetting things but if I’m remembering right SDS is pretty good with that stuff. If the game was made by EA then I would be worried.Comment

Re: The Show 20 Release Day/Week Plans?
Pre ordered the MVP Edition, so I’ll be picking the game up on the 12th at 9 PM!
1) Open up all my packs and get my DD squad completely set up and ready to go.
2) Play a handful of exhibition games against the ‘Stros and the Red Sox, getting a feel for the way the new game will be played.
3) Starting up my Yankees franchise. Still on the fence about messing with any of the rebranding, I’ll have to see about that. Probably play 5-10 ST games, manage the remaining.
That’ll probably take up most of my time through the first two days, from there I’ll start up a RttS down the road.Comment

Re: The Show 20 Release Day/Week Plans?
Wife and our 2 kids go on international trip so I’ll hunt for the game starting on March 10th I got it early last year in Washington Heights.
Plans are to checkout rosters for Full Minors and all top prospects. First fix sliders for simulation feel and play exhibition game between with Yankees at Boston. Then play Dodgers at Padres (me) to check out those uniforms.
I should be able to start Franchise that first week. This is Christmas for us baseball fans and if we hyped now imagine when the Show is available for new generation consoles next spring. Cheers [emoji482] to all I believe this will be best Show in a long time.
