I liked RTTS but in '19 they put the 'challenges' in at all the wrong times. I wish there was a way to turn them off. It's irritating to have the game pause itself after 2 pitches for me to select challenge for the remaining at bat. Plus the chances are really good that if the challenge is to only swing at pitches inside the zone, you will get a 4 pitch walk. I'm hoping it's different in '20.

Re: Does anyone just play RTTS
SP created in MLBTS17 who will be in their 4th MLB season with the Padres.
SP created in MLBTS17 who will be in their 4th MLB season with the Braves.
2B created in MLBTS17 who will be in their 3rd MLB season with the Braves.
SS created in MLBTS18 who will be in their 2nd MLB season with the Giants (not a starter).
SS created in MLBTS19 who will be in their 2nd MLB season with the Tigers.
Now I am also planning on starting a new franchise and will rebrand the Washington Nationals into the Montreal Expos and have them play out of the old Miami stadium and it remains to be seen if I am biting off more than I can chew here. It won't take me long to play the games for the 2B and two SSs if I play only the player appearances. But the two SPs do take more time to play especially since I don't like rushing the pitchers as rushing often causes me to throw bad pitches. In the early days of both SPs, the games were stressful since both pitchers were called up to the MLB level faster than they really should have been called up. But their skills have improved to the point where playing with them is fun now, especially the San Diego guy. My San Diego pitcher made the MLB All Star game in his 3rd season and had to have just missed out on winning the NL Cy Young award (though Max Scherzer the winner, #s were slightly better than mine so it was right to give Max the award). But the Padres CPU General Manager made some good acquisitions during the off season (including signing Xander Bogaerts) and while on paper the Dodgers still have to be the favorites to win the division, this Padres team should be very competitive which was quite the change since the team lost over 100 games my first year with the club.
So yes, I am still very much interested in RTTS. However it does not take long for each RTTS character to become a super star and honestly I wish the progression was not as rapid as it is, and yes I am still thinking I will spend more time on my rebranded Expos franchise than I will playing my 5 RTTS characters.
PS: the big question remaining is whether or not I will start a 6th RTTS guy and/or if I do start a new one, will I kill off any of the existing 5 players? hahaLast edited by My993C2; 03-09-2020, 04:24 PM.Comment

For some they might think it’s a joke but when I played NHL Be a Pro mode and I kept losing my number I stopped playing and haven’t played since.Comment

RTTS exclusively for me. Started one in MLB 18 and have gotten to my 13th season in the bigs as a RF. Spent 5 years with ATL, then 1 awful one in BAL, then the next 7 with ATL again. Got traded to Seattle first week of the 2034 season and love it.Twitter

Re: Does anyone just play RTTS
Normally I'm strictly a franchise player, but for baseball I get my fix of that on OOTP. So I exclusively play RTTS on the The Show.
I started my RTTS on The Show 14 (or whenever yr to yr save carryovers started) and have the same one going. I played a TON in the first three years, but have basically only got through a season each year since then. I started as an 18 year old on '14 and now going on 36 years old. Its been a lot of fun and I really wished every sports game had the save carryovers.Comment

Re: Does anyone just play RTTS
Speaking of RTTS frustration. Created a 'plain filthy' SP. Start of year 2 i get the "we want to try you as a late reliever". Fine. That 'tryout' laster the whole year, but I don't have enough tenure to make a stink claims my agent. Next contract seems to cement me there, though i've got 85 stamina and trained myself to be anything but a closer. Might just throw em down the middle and see what happens. Forget working the corners.
I also have a 'fireballer' CP and 'control freak' SP knuckleballer.Comment
