This doesn't explain removing the option though?

It was also the same with slow pace being taken out. Now the options are only normal and fast which IMO normal is a touch too fast. I doubt many used slow pace, but I did. It felt so much like the pace of baseball (yes I know most people think it's tediously long). That's the beauty of options though, and also why The Show separated themselves over other sports games. They still have tons of options but it seems like they've slowly removed some rather than added. Anyway, if you wanted to skip through everything you completely had the option to, so I don't understand what it hurt. On slow pace I swear the developers had it coded where they knew which pitchers worked fast. I specifically remember Buehrle being significantly faster in delivering the ball than others. Some pitchers just labored on because of their set and wind up. I just found it such a cool detail. I had to face Buehrle a lot playing with the Twins.

While I think they should have an option to turn it off, I would be scared with SDS reliance on analytical data that to many people would turn it off. If no one is using it this may cause SDS to lose motivation to add new signature home run animations year to year.

One of the first things I do every year when I get the game is go through the roster and look to see who got updated or new home run animations added.

I personally love hitting a no doubter and watching my batter pimp it.
