I tend to hit an inning or two from a normal cam in each ballpark. But for the most part, I always play from the "Broadcast" cam. Makes playing in different stadiums actually feel different.

Plus, playing on Legend difficulty, it makes the game pretty tough....

I've been going back and forth on possibly going with this view all the time. I played half of spring training and did reasonably well with this camera. I like sports games to look like I were watching it on TV but baseball stadiums are so unique I don't want to miss out on all the cool little details. Not every stadium has a cool fish tank to look at like the Marlins have.

Been using picture camera to hit for years. Use these cams:

        1) Pittsburgh
        2) Pitcher Center
        3) St. Louis
        4) Tampa Bay
        5) Miami/Milwaukee/Tampa Bay

Iswitch between the first 2...Makes Lefty On lefty and righty on Righty matchups all the more important... for instance, Facing a lefty SideArm with a weird angle while using a left-handed hitter is brutal. It’s difficult to pick up the ball until late and very easy to look silly swinging it bad pitches. As far as the catcher giving signs I don’t ever pay any attention to that, besides I don’t think there’s any way to tell from that.

So when using directional hitting am is the aim influence based on where the batter is looking or does it is it the opposite. Example righty up to bat wants to go opposite field hitting from batters view you point right. From the pitchers view I would think you aim left now. Hope that makes sense.

It's based on the batters perspective, like if you were hitting from a traditional view.

Speaking of broadcast cams, I’m assuming each stadium has their own, because when I play in Stl it looks completely different than when I’m at home at Citi Field, which is cool because I notice the differences in real life. But is there a way for me to always have the Citi Field broadcast cam no matter the stadium? Something about the Busch Stadium cam hurts my eyes, thankfully I’ve already played my three games there for the season

Yeah each stadium has their own view. Going from memory I believe you go to the options menu for the camera then choose custom and then edit. At the top of screen it will let you cycle through the default views, then select Citi Field save it and select it for hitting/batting.

                    Re: Hitting from pitchers view

but you got to pick a camera thats centered. a camera where the mound and homeplate are even on a line. trust me, try it for several games until you see what i mean about the lefty righty matchups. having it centered and focusing on the middle of the plate and letting the ball come into view rather than watching it come out of the pitchers hand. once you get the feel for it its so fun. i actually have a really good eye. but its tricky sometimes for pitchers with funky deliveries and you can be fooled (like real life) on the slider that comes across the plate and out of the strikezone for a RHB vs RHP and vice versa.

i pitch using all the different broadcast cams, but i only hit on the ones i mentioned. Really ive narrowed it down to either PIT or PITCHER CENTER (zoom out but dont touch direction).

the only reason i mentioned the others is because they are also centered and i used to use MIA and STL last year and 2 years ago i used MIL.

honestly i dont see how its enjoyable if not using one of those cameras. otherwise it would just be guessing every pitch and thats not fun. i wish i knew the easiest way to post videos on here. can somebody tell me the best process/format/converting/etc to post here on OS?

So far I don't have an issue hitting when it's a non centered camera. I'm having about the same rate of success as if I was hitting from behind the plate or on a centered pitching camera. I might whiff or judge a pitches location wrong a time or two more than usual but so far my numbers have been fairly similar.

I like the challenge of hitting from each stadium's broadcast camera. There are a couple that are really tough for me so I'll change those but for the most part I can adjust in the first few batters.

45 games in my franchise plus whatever practice games I played and all is well. I don't think I'll ever go back to hitting from behind the batter. Numbers have been inline with the "regular" view. Takes a bit more focus and I occasionally mis-judge a pitch horribly but not often. I'm sure as time goes on that will iron itself out as well. I've just used each stadiums broadcast cams makes the away games a bit tougher.
