Ok can we stop with all of this. People need to understand this is a video game and it will never mimic real life 100%. And if it did it would not be fun.

It won't happen over the course of franchise or in DD, but if any MLB games do actually play to empty houses this season, don't be surprised to see that reflected in Play Now Live for that respective game. It's been done before, back in 2015 when this actually happened IRL (and the details of why it happened are better left off of this board). The reason that might happen in the game is because attendance in those Play Now Live games is recorded as the same real life attendance, and it affects the number of fans in the stands for the game. If that number ends up being zero, then.....yeah.Comment

So the logic would be lets not have a crowd of people in a stadium because of the virus. but lets make them all watch a tv and have a crowd of people in a smaller space watching the game.. Yep I am sure that will work even better to stop the spread!
Anyhow if the game does this then perhaps then if we are talking realism then they should change the schedule then and swap Seattle home games with the other team or add in stadiums that they might have to play at. if we really wanna get 'realistic' then those should be added first before even thinking of the crowdComment

Like I said, I think it was a side effect of how play now live works and nothing more. Attendance in real life was zero, that number gets sent automatically to the corresponding game in MLB' 15, and the result is an empty stadium in the video game. I don't think it had anything to do with the circumstances of the event, although SDS probably could have overridden it if they really wanted to.
With what the NCAA just announced, we might have to seriously consider the possibility of this (the empty stadium thing) happening again. On a much wider scale this time.
