Excuses to free up time for MLB 20

    Hello friends,

I'm on vacation next week. My significant other is also on vacation at the same time. We're not going anywhere, but have a bunch of house stuff to organize up before our big move.

I need some solid excuses to free up time to play. I feel like this might be a fun exercise for those of us foolishly gambled our free time away (Kidding, I love her...but do I love her as much as baseball????)

So far I've got (If there's a response, I'll add it to the list for future generations of fools who decide to have kids, a solid relationship, etc.):

-I think I have the Corona virus...(Self quarantine for 14 days...)
-Can you run out and find some toilet paper? (International shortage...should free up a couple of hours)
-Sign her up for a spa day (There's an added expense there, but it might be worth it...)
-Convince her to go see her grandmother (she lives in another Province)
-Volunteer her for a trade mission to another Country (though she'd be quarantined after she got back, which would ruin my future video game time)

    -Dump her (Phillies19)
-Get hurt, or fake an injury...(duh1call3dston3s)
-Fight for my right to party because I'm a strong, independant man! (HypoLuxa13 & Jeffrey Smith)

Sometimes I assume that she lives a second life as a serial killer, so I think I might regret that...

      Kidding, she's great.

Lol. I wanted to come up with something really great, but while I’m at work I have one excuse that might work, but it would have to line up with if you actually do either of these!

Do you go to the gym? If so, come home earlier than you usually would, complain of severe pain in your knee. Break out the ice from the freezer and immediately sit your a$$ on the couch with that leg up! And don’t forget to throw MLBTS 20 in the PS4 before any of this. That should buy you a couple hours! Then magically your knee will be in terrific shape. A little ice and MLB

        Or...

If you have a physical job such as construction or installation or whatever, you can basically use the same method.

        Cheers!

I feel at work on Monday unintentionally. I bruised my left shin splits. I supposed to returned tomorrow, but my GM encouraged me to take the week if needed.

Only if I can get a copy early...

And if that doesn't work, just throw your hand up and give her the Cartman Classic:

This thread reminds me of the old Bud Light Institute commercials. Where's that 24 hour figure skating channel when you need it?

Hey guys if at all possible self isolate as much as you can to limit your chances of coming in contact with the virus, play lots and lots on MLBTS20 and kill two birds (figure of speech of course) with one stone.

"Honey, I feel like I might have a fever coming on. I better self-quarantine for a few days. Don't worry about me, I'll be lonely but I'm sure I'll find something to pass the time. " (as I walk away carrying my PS4 into the spare bedroom to hook up to the other TV)

Some people are stocking up on soap and toilet paper, I stocked up on beer and coffee. I'm ready to go...
