The Cardinals Red Spring Training Jersey is still from a couple of years ago ... They now were the Red with the Birds on the bat across the chest. Like back '98

They are not spring training uniforms in game, they are batting practice uniforms. Why they are worn in spring training (or why they are even in the game at all) is a mystery.

The Oakland A's still have their Yellow alternate although it was never worn last season. Not sure why it's in this year since was not worn last season.

It could still technically be an option, but never worn or Sony just said leave it cause it’s not hurting anything or didn’t want to remove and replace with a different uniform that requires it’s road counterpart.

So are the Marlins the only team in the game to have names on the back of their BP uniforms?


Also the 75 Phillies and 80 Royals are missing names on the back of their uniforms.

I think it’s still technically one of their uniforms, even though they’ve stopped wearing it. Same with the Red Sox hanging socks hat. Still technically an option, but hasn’t been worn in years.

Just checked and Sox & Braves still have NOB. Dodgers had 2 BP jerseys last year including the Blue one with NOB. They got rid of it this year.

Those BP are cool jerseys with numbers & NOB, the question is why only those 3-4 teams having it. Just why.

Did they get the Diamondbacks alternate hat with the snake on it right this year? Last year the brim was a brighter red and didn’t match the uniforms.

My .02. There’s the whole rtts pregame and training and 3? Years ago each team dropped ST jerseys and wore an alt with white numbers and ST sublimation. Rather than mess with that, they just left the BP jerseys. BP in real life anymore is just a hoodie or an undershirt, but that’s too much to devote to a cutscene or training. They should just cut BP, add a ST jersey if it’s not a team’s alt and put in more throwbacks in the bp slot. Probably not worth the time and resources for them. Plus the fact they change every two or three years, have patches, etc.
