"The save file was not advanced at least one calendar year in the previous year's...

Tried to carry over my 2024 Rtts save from MLB 19. And I get that message that I didn't advanced at least one calendar year in the previous year.WTH? Why does it matter? I'm so far in the future. What a ****ty feature.

2018 Release Night: Find out season mode is removed and my 3 year season save is done.

2020 Release Night: The Rtts save I have that I started in MLB 14 can't be continued, because I'm in july.

Should just drop kick this whole series.

What a way to take away from the fun gameplay.

Like I was so stokeed man. This is really the 3rd time something like this has happened. Had my Indians franchise die when I used it in 15 and 16 but couldn't take it to 17. And like I get why they might not be able to make that work, but now I'm expected to like go back and grind half a season out on 19? I already traded 19 back in. I only got it a few weeks ago anyways to convert the saves.

This game has just got so nonuser friendly. Which sucks cause the gameplay rocks.

        That's an interesting bug.

Sounds like they just hadn't tested, and assumed that you would advance at least one season each year. (Not sure why they would assume that).

I imagine if you get through 2024 in 2019 the Show and import to 2020 it will import, but that is really annoying.

Yeah, I started this save 7 years ago. So it means a lot to me. Gonna just focus on other modes for now. Can't let it ruin too much

Did you happen to download MLB 19 when it was free with PS+? That way you could still go back and finish that year?

Strange, i continue my RTTS player which is currently in september of 2020 and it continued just fine and i know i have not played an entire season or even simmed an entire season in 19 with that player.

Did your 2024 season start in The Show 18 or prior? If so that might be the reason it’s saying you must advance at least a full season in The Show 19. Just a thought.

I have game saves from 2014 also. You'll have to sim ahead til Spring Training to fix this.

Yup, I ran into the about a month ago. I wanted to continue my RTTs from MLB 17. Well I didn't realize I didn't play it all all in 18, so I had to re-download 18 in order to play. Yah, I agree. That's a dumb part of the feature.

That dumb part of the feature makes sure that you keep purchasing it year after year.

Smart people will wait until it's $5.99 at Gamestop/EB in the mall previously played to move forward.

Yeah, I mean at least it sounds like if you really want it you could get an old version cheap and just simulate but obviously shouldn't have to do that.

Nah..dumb is constantly trolling a video game forum because you don't like a game and feel the need to mock not only the game itself, but its developers and the community that plays it.
