It would load in 20, but you’d have to finish a season for 21.

Hey Woodweaver can you please look at the bug i reported regarding getting a CY Young award handed to me by my manager at every before pitch at home games ? Is it a bug or do you suppose to get the award handed to you at every home game ?

Tried it on multiple pitcher saves and same problem in everyone.

Woodweaver, is there a cutoff date as to when you can transfer a franchise? I've seen one complete year but I'm able to convert mine after only playing a month and a half of 19. I can play a franchise game but then it freezes everytime I try to advance a day.

I'd hate to have to continue playing 19 for another couple months until I finish my 2022 season. Like I said earlier, I'm in year 9 of my carryover and don't want to start over. I feel like I wasted $85 on 20 at the current time even though I love the game.

I am not too familiar with the franchise save file, but what you are describing sounds like a bug. Please report it with your save file.

Wow this thread blew up. Thanks woodweaver for the clarity. I'm gonna repurchase 19 and just try and grind through the rest of the season in a day or two.

I've been playing on either HOF or Legend the whole time. I'm really happy with the realism of stats. The 2023 Redsox did end up being one of the best offenses in MLB history since the 1930's yankees. Which was pretty cool

Not sure if this is the same thing or not but everytime I try to advance to the next day in my franchise my game freezes. I've tried re-importing my franchise multiple times with no luck. I'm able to play my first game but that's it.

I think I only played a month and a half on 19 so I didnt know if that was the reason or not. I don't get an error message when I carry over my franchise or anything it just freezes.

Any advise. I'm in year 9 in my franchise from 2014. Thanks in advance.

This is the problem I'm having with my RttS that is in 2024/25 and was started in The Show 14. I can do batting practice but as soon as I try to play a game it freezes.

I simmed to the end of my current year on 19 and imported it and it worked fine. So I'm just going to keep playing 19 for now and every time I hit a new month I'll try again.

I'll let you know if/when it works. I have way too much time invested to start from scratch and can't wait to carry it over on 20.

I already started my 2020 franchise in MLB the Show 18, then transferred it 2019 awhile back and have played most of my 2020 franchise in MLB the Show 19. But it won't allow me to transfer to MLB the Show 20 until Jan 1st 2021 date in MLB the Show 19.

I play along as the real season is happening, so (with 30 team control) I can do trades, injuries and such as they happen ... so hopefully I won't always have to be a year behind.

And being an Angels fan, the two-way feature in the Show 20 is something I'm still eager to use instead of plugging in a bench player at DH and subbing them out for Ohtani in their first AB.
