Yep I’m that guy. Xbox gamer that needs his baseball fix with sports shut down. I was not planning on buying a console this close to the new ones in December. BUT if I were to buy the console is it worth the pro and extra money for 1 game? My plan would be probably to sell the console prior to December. Just curious if the $100 more is worth it for 1 game. Thanks.

I did it a few years back, after being a long time Xbox guy, and a champion for 2K Sports games.
After this website gave me major SAS (Show Acquisition Syndrome) I bit the bullet, and purchased a PS3 and The Show just as you are thinking of doing.
Now, years later, and with a PS4 I have never regretted it, not looked back.
Breathe deeply... that's it..... breatthhhhheeeee..... yes.....
Jump in, and prepare to lose minutes, hours and days.
Totally worth it.

Why do you need other people to tell you how to spend YOUR money?
If you have the disposable income and money to spend and you want to buy a PS4 Pro and MLB the Show, just do it.

It all depends how fanatic you are about your baseball. Personally, the only reason I own a PS is for The Show. So I would say yes to answer your question. But that's one Cubs fan opinion.

If you’re a baseball fan, it’s a no brainer. Especially if you have the money to spend. No matter what critique this game gets, it’s an awesome game. Much better than any EA game and on par with 2K. Franchise mode could definitely use some attention but it’s still a fun mode to play.
And there are tons of other fun modes if you get into DD. But this game is worth it for the gameplay alone. It’s fun to play and absolutely beautiful to look at, especially in HDR on a nice TV.
I would say get the Pro because the frame rates are much smoother on the Pro. At least in my experience. Can’t speak for others.Comment

I love baseball and I feel like the Show was created by SDS for me as a personal favor, so it's a no-brainer to get my approval...
