The L2 prompt flashes above the score bug briefly (at least for the MLBN theme, haven’t tried the other yet, but i know the score bug is down on the bottom right corner for the other theme) when they would normally cut to the lineup/defense. but if you aren’t looking specially at that part of the screen you’ll miss it.

L2 button presentation have some problems
L2-Lineup button show up
after one or two out in 1st inning
But it didn’t show up after strike out
Also L2- defence button show up
After one out in 2nd inning
But it didn’t show up after strike out

Automatically on broadcast mode

I submitted my bug report
Hope many broadcast guys claim and submit bug report about this
And patched soon

I've reported the stats bug within both presentation packages as well.

Essentially a lot of the time the stats don't relate to the player at bat in franchise. (Eg. 2019 stats)

Hopefully it's patched.

I don't disagree if people think the "broadcast" setting should have it auto-play, but I love this feature overall. For designers (and I speak as a former game designer), it has to be so much better than having people click through after something starts. Now people who want to see it can buy in and then you can craft even better things.

I know it feels weird to some people, but I think it will grow on people and it's just "weird" on some level probably because it has never been done before. It's a fundamental change that I think is actually really interesting and could solve a lot of presentation issues that games have with things being short circuited or figuring out where to go when someone presses a button skip something in progress etc.

I would think of it as the opposite of shunning presentation. It's just making it so those complaints of "I just wanna play" can now be extinguished by default and the beauty can be brought out when we want and then cultivated as such because you know you have the audience. Games and normal sports on TV have to exist in different spaces and this is a place where I think it makes a lot of sense to go that route.

Now if you want to see replays, just press a trigger. If you want to see intros and battling lineups, press a trigger.

In OS review it says this but I don’t see it other than for Lineups & Defense (which I like BTW)

Problem is
L2 button graphics
don’t show up at some situations
I have tested several times
it skip automatically without L2 option

You have to press L2 every time, regardless of your presentation settings.

That's annoying as crap!! What was wrong with giving users the option to press a button to skip all that stuff or turn it off? Now we've got to press a button to see every thing each time for each game? How freaking annoying is that?

What's even more dumb is that it shows up once at specific points where it would automatically appear, therefore if you miss it which is perfectly reasonable then you'll never get the chance to see it again. That's ridiculous.

How do you get this to work? I've tried holding down L2 when it pops up and I've also tried pressing it multiple times when it pops and neither time anything happened. Just skipped on to the next batter. Super annoyed that I can have it on broadcast setting and miss the starting lineup because I can't figure out how to properly get it to show the starting lineup. Just not a good decision to make someone have to press a button to watch something that should be automatic in broadcast mode.

I played an exhibition game today and Marcell Ozuna was listed with a .000 average.

It is on franchise if you pick fast play or whatever it’s called.

I hate it competently. it's one of the best and only presentations I like to see its good to see batting lineups to see how people are going. now I don't see L2 half the time and forget about it.

Yet we are FORCED to see Hedi and can't skip her!! where is the L2 button to skip her?? I guess it's a joke to make us feel pay of her 'flat out' dialogue

Problem I see with it is I never know how much time the prompt will last. Sometimes I get caught in a game of chicken with it as I watch the dynamic celebrations play out after a dinger, neglect to hit L2 in time and bam, I’ve missed it. Thus having to go waste more time by going into manual replay.

This might’ve been a decent idea, but it was implemented very poorly and not widely considered for those who wish to never have to hit it and just be shown replays.

Maybe a countdown meter would help. Maybe a toggle in the front end menus to disable the option completely. But the way it stands now is pretty sad.
