Lineups stick this year? (After Spring Training)
Was about to start the task of taking all the 40 mans down to 26 if this is still the way to make the 26 man roster stick when simming ST with all the correct lineups etc. Anyone tried this yet to see if it works?Tags: None -

Re: Lineups stick this year? (After Spring Training)
Mine didn't stick after spring training. Settings were on manual and roster down to 26 players. Could have been a one-off, so hopefully others can test this out.Comment

So isnt the trick that the last game before spring training ends is when u have to go in and put everyone down to 26( use to be 25) and then sim the final game and end spring training after..hopefully its not a new issue cuase its a 26 man roster now.Comment

Re: Lineups stick this year? (After Spring Training)
In previous years, I used to be able to trim the roster to 25 any time during spring training and it would stay that way once the regular season starts. I was just fiddling around, hopefully it was just a wrong button click.

Re: Lineups stick this year? (After Spring Training)
30 team roster control
Set team to 26 man roster
Went to franchise
Started spring training
All 30 teams reverted to 40 man roster
Big bugComment

Re: Lineups stick this year? (After Spring Training)
Spring Training rosters are EVERYONE on the 40 man roster.
If you don't set your roster down to 26 players for your team (or all teams if using 30 team control) BEFORE ending Spring Training, the CPU will make roster moves for you to get down to 26 players when the regular season starts.Comment

I always set my roster and lineups from the main menu (outside of franchise). The best I can tell, as long as you have your mlb, aaa and aa down to 26 when starting franchise/before starting the regular season it won’t reshuffle your 40 man or send anyone up/down. It does rearrange your lineup regardless of having it on manual, which seems like the bug. UNLESS it rearranges your lineup when you start franchise, I didn’t test that yet. We may just have to set everything in franchise this year for it to stick.Comment

Thanks. I didn't have my AAA / AA set with 26 man just my MLB so I'll try that see what happens. The AI was sending and calling up players and adding them to my 40man when going straight into Regular Season in franchise mode.Comment

Re: Lineups stick this year? (After Spring Training)
So here's the problem.
I originally set my roster to 26 man instead of 40 (like in previous years for 25 man roster), for each level except single A. When I start a franchise from regular season the cpu fills your 40man roster putting some players on waivers etc.
In years past you could set your roster to 25 man without the CPU adding players to fill your 40man. Is there anyway I can still do this? Has anyone found a workaround for this particular issue.
Thanks again. You guys have been a helpful community in past MLBTS games!Comment

SDS should take away whatever gives the CPU the ability to change the rosters once you set them up. It would be easier if you could just use one and not have to do 30 team control in order for rosters/lineups/rotations be correct. They must have the ability to do this.Comment
