That said, always been an offline player. Decided to give DD a try this year. Am I at a disadvantage if I play with my typical settings online? I suspect most players are button directional, and that just seems easier to me

At disadvantage w/ pure analog (DD)?
I’ve always been a pure analog player with stride. It’s just the way I learned the game, and I feel like it’s more reward to crank one while perfectly timing a flick of the stick rather than a press of a button.

Same. Were at a disadvantage for sure. Buttons are simplistic/easier i just cant bring myself to do it. It lacks realism.
Would be cool if there were dedicated pure analog rooms. At least for hitting specifically.

Personally I stink at it. But I am trying to work on it this year.Comment

If you can do it well, than Zone is still the best option. Having just x/swing setting relies alot more on timing/attributes and you have little control over direction. I could never go back to that.
The PCI is so huge in those early tiers of Ranked Seasons. I would argue it is EASIER with PCI until you get into the deeper tiers.Comment
