    Re: Ps4 Pro...frame rate

It baffles me how the framerate is different for a lot of people. It's almost as if Sony isn't consistent with processor or GPU frequency in their PlayStation 4's. Yesterday I played with it on sharper and didn't have any frame rate issues except for a few hiccups during some cutscenes.

More likely your tv, then the ps4

Not so sure about that. I have a BenQ monitor, a Samsung TV, and a Panasonic TV. It happens on all of them. I also did some research before buying all the TVs to make sure they were good for gaming. This is also the only game I see it on. All my other games run great. Very rarely see any visual disturbance. (Well...except for Dyansty Warriors...but really? lol)

I play a ton of games. My trophy thing is 20 and I don't even hunt trophies outside of a few games I really like.

Maybe some people are lucky?? Maybe it isn't consistent?

Today i have seen some more hiccups on Faster. Not quite as good as last night. Still a major improvement from what I was seeing.

Frame rate issues can be highly subjective - some are more sensitive to it than others. I haven't noticed any frame rate drops but I have seen a hiccup or two.

I’m on a ps4 pro, playing on balanced with hdr on.
For me it’s the same as ‘19:

Smooth during pitcher / batter battle, and smooth when ball is put in play.
But framerate really drops in cutscenes, with foulballs, on some replays.
‘18 was fine, ‘19 was worse and ‘20 seems the same.
I’m playing on a samsung qled qe65q9fn, game mode is enabled.
Is there some setting I need to adjust?

Sucks cause we should be able to play in 4k without stutter.

Asking the game to run in a constant 4k 60fps on PS4 hardware is asking a lot. It's simply not going to happen. Your TV / monitor has nothing to do with it and just because you mentioned it, balanced is 1440p not 4k.

I am fully aware of that.
What i meant was : the 4k option is there (sharper) but is unplayable due to the stuttering.
Even on balanced there is a stutter.
There are lots of games out there that are very fluid, so the performance could be better.

At least on my end, balanced is smoother overall than it was last year.

Which camera angles (specifically for batting) tend to be smoother? I prefer the fish eye angles but I'm more than willing to adapt to others if they're a bit smoother.

I have HDR OFF and balance and it looks good and smooth.

I did tried sharper yesterday offline and it looks superb but there is a lag in the cut scenes etc at time.

Using a Pro, Balanced with HDR enabled has been great for me.

game looks great on my 78 inch curve samsung 2017 model 4k uhd.

my question is that I'm seeing jaggy's when I use the camera for hitting and pitching which is the Pitcher Camera.. it's very zoomed in by nature. I love it compared to all the other cameras.

do you think it's just that camera causing it ? because the game has no stutter or frame rate issues at all..playing on balanced Hdr on.

                            any help would be appreciated.

I turned HDR off and that did seem to help.

Tonight around 6 the game got really inconsistent and the menus were really slow. I think the DD CPU games are a mess because of the servers.

My pitchers started missing by 2 to 3 feet. That didn't happen all weekend. If it was just one pitcher I would get it, but, even Maddux was all over. I lost more games in 3 hours than I did all weekend.

Hitting was strange because despite getting good timing I was getting weak pop ups and choppers over and over again.

I've only played one full game so far on play now and a couple of the DD challenges and the frame rate has been perfect. When I first start of the game I noticed it wasn't as bright as previous games are and then I turn hdr on and man, it got even darker. I messed around with balanced, faster and sharper but none seemed to make a difference with the brightness. I turned her off and it got brighter so I continue to play the game with HDR off but overall, the game is still not as bright as previous games.

Am I the only one that has noticed this? I even fired up 17 and 19 and both of those games are brighter than 20.
