To the OP. If you're this...negative...about the game, don't get it. Stick with whatever version of the game you have now. If you go into something and are already negative about it, it will completely color your experience.

Get away from the opening day hype, get away from the very normal launch day hiccups...and re-visit the decision a few months down the road.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

I caved in when i said i was not going to buy it.
I only play offline / franchise with classic rosters.

It’s a great game, but so was ‘19.
I do not see the smoother framerate, feels the same as ‘19.
I’m not seeing the new animations (granted, only played a few games).

Continued my franchise from ‘19 and have lost all of my games so far, which i really like.
Cpu seems to hit better compared to ‘19, and I’m hitting much worse than i did on the previous version, with the exact same settings.

It’s really - in my opinion - not a big improvement, but still a great game.
Just feels rough in some places.
Replays hitt and miss, and very “stuttery”.
Sometimes the audio (crowd) stops and then starts again.

      I don’t know, ‘19 was a big improvement over ‘18, but ‘20? I’m just not seeing it.

I have a long list of things I'd like to see changed in manage mode but the show is still the best baseball game ever made and well worth the $60 they charge.

This helped me realize how negative I was when I made this thread. Full disclosure I was sitting at a Panera bread, feeling buyers remorse about a 1/2 and 1/2 sandwich/salad combo that only hit about 50% of my fullness quote.

          But I digress.

I'm tempted to run down to Target tomorrow and just get the stinking game. But after the comment on page (4?) stating that the "Full Minors" is more like 7 prospects and a bunch of duck dynasty beards... that's not gonna cut it. As my baseball fandom has evolved through the years, prospecting has become my #1 joy. And for that reason, I am out.

I decided a few years ago that none of them are worth $60 if you have a prior version. What I do now is either wait until Back Friday (for WWE and Madden) to pay $25, or in the case of the Show I buy last years version for $15.

Once you break out of the "Must have the latest version" addiction it becomes easy to continue on that way. The changes are minimal each year. I budget only so much for video games, and $60 total for the three games leaves me an additional $120 for other games. In some cases, like WWE 2k20 I will pass completely and skip at least 1 year. I love baseball, so I end up with every version, just a year later. It's not a big deal.
I plan on waiting to get mlb 20.

              @ MODS

I don't think this thread was written fairly or with a clear mind.

Can someone please delete it, and rid it from my conscience?

              Thanks

I have never really been, excuse the term “Flat Out” disappointed in any MLB the Show I’ve purchased going back some years...It has minor bugs and minor disappointments...but overall I’m always pleased and always feel I’ve spent my money for a good product. Maybe the best sports game I’ve played on console, partly because I love baseball...and the Show “allows” for the style I play, simulation. Many games don’t.

I do however wish I had every cent back that I’ve purchased on EA’s Madden series going back to 15.
                What a Arcade mess that is....Go 2k!!!!!
