It’s weird that you and purist are seeing these results as I am experiencing the complete opposite. The majority of my hits are doubles and singles and I am rarely getting home runs, but scoring a ton of runs (7 in my last game). Must be something with zone hitting, because I am using directional and even guys like franmil Reyes and pete Alonso are displaying warning track power at best. I am even considering cranking up the power slider

Like I said this was the first game where I saw that big of a surge in power. I've played 7 games now in Spring Training and the 7 combined homeruns (again I only hit 2) in this game were more than I've seen hit combined in the other 6 games.

Like you most of my hits were doubles and singles, with a triple sprayed in there and then occasionally a homerun.

I do know the wind was blowing out to right field in this game, but 5 of the 7 homeruns were hit to left field.

I think its just a product of sample size and other factors.

Still hitting way too many home runs on default HOF. (Both zone and Directional). Issue to me seems to be too many mistake pitches over the heart of the plate by CPU pitchers no matter their ratings.

Starting to think homeruns may need to be patched. I've had quite a few games now with back to back homeruns. In the last game I played, I hit 4 in a row. The CPU and I combined for 8 homeruns before even the 8th inning. This is on default legend.

Same here. I'm up to HOF+ on dynamic difficulty using directional and score 9 runs my last game with 4 HRs. Seems like hitting is quite a bit easier this year

For those complaining about the game having issues out of the box, be thankful we have patches that fix things. I remember having MLB 2k13 for the XBox that had a glitch where a fielder for the CPU would hold onto the ball and not throw home while base runners were rounding third and heading home. We were stuck with that, because there were no patches to fix it. In the history of video games, there has never been the perfect game. This one is no exception, but it is by far the best baseball game on the market. It may take time, but I’m glad Sony listens to us and fixes many of the problems.

what do they mean with " updated all 30 MLB team mug shots from spring training" ??? what does that mean? would have been great if the first update fixed the minor league options issue too bad. i know its usually a small first update but i would have thought this could have been done possibly? is there something so complex under the hood to do this one? id assume they are at least aware of it.

I don’t know about that. Nintendo first party games are rarely patched today. If there was a game without glitches it would be from them.

1.04 drops tomorrow morning.

Gameplay:
- Fixed an issue that caused the Button Accuracy Throw Meter to get stuck in the red, following a specific bullpen operation.
- Increase to hitting difficulty in Diamond Dynasty.
- Fewer checked swings will hit the ball into play.
- Pitch speed slider has more range.
- When swinging early on an outside pitch, fly balls and line drives that would be labeled ‘Rolled Over’ will now be labeled ‘Out in Front’.

Update 1.04 is set to deploy at 3 AM PT on Thursday, 3/19/2020.

wow looks like there goes the hope of them fixing the OSD stat bug on the next update...man that bugs me how hard can it be to have this work..is it they dont even take any time to research it? stat bugs have alawys been a issue thru the years with certain stats but the one that usually worked fine was the batter walk ups...like what changes to ruin this? yes its nice to see a update rolling out with little fixes here and there showin they are doin somethin i guess
