A lack of power with directional hitting

Anyone feel like there is a lack of home run pop when using directional hitting (All-star plus, pitch speed down one notch)? I have even increased the slider up two notches and still only getting about one home run a game. Considering last year was a record breaking year for home runs it just feels disproportionate. Everything just seems to be week bloops even on Good Good hits.

Re: A lack of power with directional hitting

I use directional hitting and am on HOF and I have not noticed a lack of power. There are some games where I hit none or 1, others I hit 3 or 4. It seems pretty accurate to me right now, or at least I haven’t noticed anything off with it.

It took me a while to adjust to the slower pitch speeds. I didn’t hit one my first few games, but once I got adjusted, I’m not having any issues.

Agreed, some times I go through a stretch of no power, other times I'm raking HRs. Overall I haven't noticed any issues.

Okay well I am glad you guys feel it’s not to off, because I have yet to have a multi homer game. I have had games where I have hit zero homers, but never more than one. I cranked the slider up by two for me and the CPU. They are having multi home run games I am just not. Can’t seem to get any zip on the ball

Nope. Quite the opposite, actually. I’m destroying the ball. Default HOF with directional.

I wouldn't mess with sliders much, I rarely touch them after settling in using Armor's sliders, which typically don't change much from the original settings. In most cases you have to let the sliders settle in for like 30 games before you see that they are working correctly, and make sure your team is not just in a slump. I've learned in the past I used to tweak sliders so much I ruined my game period. I'm not saying you're doing that, but just fyi....

Re: A lack of power with directional hitting

I play on All-Star directional hitting as well and I haven’t been hitting much for power either. And I’m playing as the Twins! Now I’ve only played 8 games overall and have only hit 3 HRs in the first 7, then I increased the slider up one notch, as well as solid hits up one notch (because I’ve really just been getting weak contact). Had a 2 HR game after that. Also the CPU hasn’t had a problem hitting me for HRs, getting 9 in the process of those games.
