    Presentation and R2 prompt

    Incase you werent sure, on the show presentation bug, you can hit R2 at specific times in the 1st inning to bring up defensive overlays and starting line ups.

    I hope in the future the game has replays on every single play (minus pitches) with the R2 prompt. This way we can pick and choose which plays we want replays on for offline play. This is the real "hybrid" presentation.

    Thoughts?

      I am not a fan of this implementation at all. I play on broadcast and 90% of the time I forget to hit the score bug. It sucks. I get it for online and DD but why force it on us in broadcast?

          We talked about this in another thread, and yeah, the feelings are mixed so far overall. I think it's a good long-term plan because it can help developers craft better scenes and replays that are then bought into and started by the user, which needs to happen to get to a new level of presentation.

          With all other games, being able to click through a presentation right before it begins or right as it begins upends all the work, so this way the user can decide when they want a crafted experience or not, which means it allows developers to make it more like TV in that they know they get that full control then because the user gives it to them.

          That being said, I agree it needs to be pushed beyond just homers, lineups etc. and expanded. And I think it will be. And even with the current implementation, when to buy into a replay or not could be made more clear and allowed to occur in more situations.

          It's a fascinating new experiment though and I hope they don't give up on it.

              Agree on all points...but I still see how some feel it is half-baked.
              Hopefully in the next-gen we can be our own "broadcast producers"....

              I imagine, where we will have more prompts to call for presentations and we can effectively dictate when lineups, in-game stats, cuts to dugout, cuts to side-commentary, etc.... take place. You will be giving the cue when to trigger these graphics and segments, similar to that of a producer.

              I think IF they add all these options, the future will feel more useful.
              With that being said, I do feel that the lineups and defense prompts need to last longer or more appear multiple times, because you end up skipping it most of the times now.

                  Seems like adding a toggle option under presentation (in addition to the prompts) would be an easy solution and the best of both worlds.

                      One of my favorite features in NBA Lives recent instalments is being able to get a replay during gameplay with R3. I have thought for awhile tgat all spirts games should do this. I commend the show for this.
