Manual Injuries

So I’m doing a 30 team control franchise and set injuries to manual so I could start the year with real injuries and suspensions. My question is do players still get injured during simulations and game play? I haven’t seen any in 5 games. Small sample size I know, but I want injuries to naturally happen in my season

cant injuries be switched back & forth from manual to 'natural' as often as you like during the season? so now switch to auto and crank that injury slider to 11

Where is the option to turn on manual injuries in a franchise mode for this year's game? For the life of me I can't find it

User Settings > Gameplay Options > General > Advanced

The better question is once you've set it to manual HOW do you injure them bc I see no option to do so

Go to the injured list within franchise, and hit R1 , select a player and go to town.

That doesn't work for me, does the player have to already be injured for it to work?

no, its sort of tricky the first time you do it though. lemme load up a franchise and see if I cant do a walk-through

Injured List > Injured Players, then R1/L1 > Manage Injuries, then press X on your victim you intend bodily harm > Select Injury & Duration > Confirm Injury

I'm having a lot of issues with injuries in franchise mode in this years game. I played all through spring training and a week into the season and not one player has been injured with the injury slider turned all the way up and injuries set to on. I tried to manual injury players following the above steps and when I hit R1/L1 nothing happens. What could I have done wrong?
