Re: MLB The Show 20: Fictional Franchise Progress Thread
The trade deadline has come and gone and that means it’s time or August baseball. As the Padres enter the new month. San Diego (55-57) enters the month 3rd in the NL West with 20.5 games back of first place Colorado, 5 games behind 2nd place Colorado and 7 games out of a Wild Card spot. Pitching remains the teams biggest issue. San Diego currently has allowed the 3rd most HR (153) and blown the 3rd most games (21). Pitching bright spots are Kole Robertson (8-3) who is making a late push for a 3rd consecutive Cy Young award and Alexzander Starks (7-2, 15 Holds) is making his case for reliever of the year.
Acquired in June free agent Bronco McClendon (.278 BA) has proved to be a shrewd pick-up has proved to be a favorite in the club house and a clutch bat off the bench. KeKe Johnson (.271 BA) remains one of the more surprising players on the team; his ability to play multiple positions has given manager Brandon Albrechts options in his team's injury riddled season.
The Padres maintain an outside chance of making the play-offs. As the injuries continue to mount and the number of games left to turn it around it has many Padres faithful already thinking about the 2023 season.
Swingin’ Friars:
Bronco McClendon - .278 BA | 6 HR | 10 RBI | .704 SLG% | 1.002 OPS in 54 AB

Cole Dyer - .212 BA | .256 OBP | 19 RBI | -9.8 Batting Runs in 208 AB

Re: MLB The Show 20: Fictional Franchise Progress Thread
The first season of my league was won by the New Jersey Kekambas, while the second was won by the Vancouver Mounties, who rallied from being under .500 in early July to win it all. I'm in the middle of season 3 and will try to post updates for each game I play (one per week).

Started a franchise with the Tampa Bay Rays using some created players and fictional baseball players from movies. I plan on rebranding the Rays during the 2022 season as the Brooklyn Robins but I'm really enjoy using the Rays uniforms.

RP Kenny Powers (Eastbound & Down)
RP Colin Kaepernick (former 49ers QB, played in HS)

2B Russell Wilson (Seahawks QB, played at NC State)
LF Pedro Cerrano (Major League)
LF Tim Tebow (Jaguars TE, ex-minor leaguer)
CF Willie Mays Hayes (Major League)
RF Roy Hobbs (The Natural)

Re: MLB The Show 20: Fictional Franchise Progress Thread
Late comer to MLBTS and this fictional roster. Big fan as fictional draft class is only way I’ve stayed engaged with Madden. I selected the Twins fictional roster team and played/dimmed through the first season. One thing I’ve noticed is how poorly fielding is. While I understand not everyone is a Gold Glove caliber player, it seems odd to have a significant number of players (see it with free agents, too) have fielding below 50. Am I the only one who sees this issue?Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20: Fictional Franchise Progress Thread
You haven't said what your issue is. Are you seeing an abnormal amount of errors.

Re: MLB The Show 20: Fictional Franchise Progress Thread
2020: Marlins - 55/White Sox - 105
2021: Padres - 49/Brewers - 114
2022: Yankees - 47/Indians - 108
IRL on the high end they should be closer to 150+ on the low end they arent that far off but they should be around 60+
Have you changed sliders at all?

Re: MLB The Show 20: Fictional Franchise Progress Thread
I'm playing the wild card winning A's with my first place Astros. We're tied at 1 in the divisional series. Heading to Oakland where we've dominated all season. Travis Shaw and Gordon Landry are leading my team at the plate, but my utility guy, Chang Ho Park, is finishing the season like a stud. Tom Shields is pitching great for me but he gives up the long ball a little too much.

A tough 3-2 loss to the O’s but man we are really excited about this fresh new franchise.

Funny you should mention the 'Stros and Park. I'm at August 1st (every pitch, every game) in 2020 with my LAD franchise, and I traded for Kyle Moss from the struggling 'Stros. My gosh, is he good!
I also signed Park as a super utility/ PH vs. RHP guy, and he's been amazing as well. He's hitting over .300 on the season in a pretty extensive role. Small worlds!
Also, that AL West is BRUTAL. In my franchise, TX, SEA, and LAA are all legit playoff teams, but 1 will be left out in the cold, and 1 will be fighting for a WC spot. The only team to have tanked in that division is HOU. I would hate to face Brennan with any regularity. Or Mayfield. Or Hitter.Comment
