Carryover save problem

I’m going to add this to the bug report but thought I’d ask here also to see if anyone else has had this problem.

Loaded up my carryover franchise, I can
do everything, but when I click Play Next Game it freezes. I’ve tried hitting square to simulate the game, which it does, but when I go to advance to next day it freezes there also.

So basically this franchise save is unplayable. Which sucks because I’ve been carrying it over since Mlb 2015.

EDIT: To those of us that are having problems. I found that if you are carrying over a franchise that is in the offseason, it should work as normal, no freezing. The file I ended up transferring over was a day 1 of offseason save. I’m not sure if every stage of the offseason works, but I know day one did for me. Hope this helps some that are having problems.

did you carryover during the middle of the season?

I've seen others have this issue and I'm wondering if its the CPU having troubles with converting to the new roster requirements? (25 to 26)

I did. May 30th. I’ll try simming to the end of the season and see if it works. Thanks.

No problem.

I carried over my save from '19, but I used an old save right after the World Series and then did the offseason in '20 and haven't had any issues *knocks on wood*

I did my carryover when my '19 season was in early May, and had no issues. I even saw that my roster was showing 25 out of 26 allowed at the MLB level.

Well so much for that theory...

A few years back I started having multiple saves of my franchise, in case something went wrong......but I guess that wouldn't matter in this instance.

Yeah I'm having the same issue, carried over late June. I just assumed it was an issue with the rosters converting. Losing the franchise would suck, but a part of me has been hungering for a new challenge.

I’ve been trying to start a new franchise for the last two cycles, but this one keeps pulling me back. I’m so invested in these players that it’s really hard to start over. I mean, 10 seasons of playing every game will do that to you. Haha.
