About 8 games played so far - no home run animation

    Perhaps they listened to us.

I use manage mode - fast play - and there is a cool animation after the batter crossed the plate but not the one during the at bat.

Now somebody will tell me they have seen it :-).

It's there. You're likely not seeing it because of "Fast Play".

I'm an idiot - just saw it in the first game after my post.

Apparently they didn't listen to us. Oh well.

BTW you will never see the home run animation from the "Dugout" view in MoM games regardless of what presentation view you have enabled because the camera follows the ball from the pitch through until the end of the play. Problem is, is that the "Dugout" view in MLBTS20 MoM games no longer works.

I use press box view but it interests me how things which previously worked fine get broken. Apparently they are tying together code for unrelated things and when they change one thing for the better they break something else.

A couple other items in manage mode which used to work fine and now are broken:

3-2 pitch, 2 out, force play in effect the runner doesn't automatically run with the pitch. You have to order him to steal to get him to run. The CPU runner automatically runs in the same situation. That used to work fine for both user and CPU but somehow got changed. It should be automatic.

Runner on base, pitcher at the plate, CPU moves defense in for a bunt. If you don't want your pitcher to bunt there is no way to get him to swing except in rare occasions with 2 strikes. Vast majority of the time he will just stand there taking pitches until he either walks or strikes out looking. Used to be if you didn't order him to sacrifice bunt he would take a normal at bat and swing away.

It's frustrating when things which used to work fine get broken and in manage mode once it's broken it doesn't immediately get fixed.

Speaking of things that are broken, how the heck can you throw over to first base to attempt to pick off the base runner? It is supposed to be L2+O and that works fine for me when I am pitching in a RTTS game, but nothing happens when I am playing a MoM game. Of course actually picking off the runner is another can of worms (it does occasionally happen in RTTS games) but my motivation in MoM games is to just prevent the runner from taking that extra step. My catchers I am using in my franchise games aren't the best and I could use all the help I can get at times.

It is there you just have to go to the menu. I think last night might have been my first career pick at first in the 5-7 years I have been strictly an MOM guy. Could have been others but I sure dont remember them.

Tessl, I like the 3-2, 2 outs and runner not automatically going. I am a coach and trust me the players are not always aware of the count etc (which they should be), so the sign is still sent in for them to take off with the pitch

Yes I know we can throw via the menu, but I only want to throw over if the base runner takes the extra step and once you've selected your choice for the menu you can't go back to the menus for that pitch. I took a two year break from MoM game play to play RTTS, and I am pretty sure we could throw to first via the hot buttons in MLBTS17. Who knows, both my catchers aren't that good a throwing out the runners even when the runner does not take the extra step, so there is no point in me fretting over this I guess. haha

I’ve seen it several times unfortunately.

Never mind about my concerns on throwing to 1B. I remember how to play the game. I need to click on the menu and then observe if the base runner takes the extra step. My bad. Carry on ...
