Shields under fielders

Do we know what the shields are under the fielders are? They also seem to change color throughout the game.

the player's fielding ability. Either common, bronze, silver, gold, or diamond

I'm assuming it's:


User Settings > Gameplay Options > Fielding > Catch Indicator Off? I think that's right but not 100% positive

I have catch position indicator set to off. After last patch these shields are showing when my team is on defense. Didn’t happen pre-patch.

Shields under fielders

The patch introduced this new display bug.

On auto fielding we see a blue circle now underneath the fielders. Was never there pre 1.05.

They are aware but please file a bug report!

I am sure the next update will fix this.
