    Umpire Accuracy.

I have never noticed the option of, "Average," before today on this feature. Usually I just leave it on personalized because I like the idea of having different umpires call games differently. But in all honestly out of thousands of games on The Show I couldn't really tell you a drastic difference from one umpire to the other. I'm sure some people will say otherwise, but I don't notice a big difference.

I'm curious what exactly is the difference between the three options though. In personalized each umpire has their own, "preference," to some degree meaning some will give you east to west while other may give you low in the zone. However, what is, "Average?" The in-game description says that it will, "use the MLB average strike zone calls." But I'm not 100% sure what exactly that means or looks like.

Also, on perfect does anyone know where the ball has to be in order to be called a strike? The way I see it, if the ball is touching any part of the strike zone (box) it should be a strike, since that's "painting the black." I'm considering a change from personalized to try to increase strikeouts because the umpires favor the hitters in the game to a ridiculous degree.

    Re: Umpire Accuracy.

I wonder if average strike zone means the strike zone for a 6'1 batter. I'm afraid I have more questions than answers. off-topic (or maybe not) I rotate through all 3 settings evenly. one of the many little things I do to try to make games different from game to game
