To those that have relocated a team...

Is there anything special? Or is it basically just like a diamond dynasty team as far as customization, do you only get two uniform slots? Or are there multiple? Let's say I "relocated" the Rangers so I could use their new stadium, I assume I have to stay in the AL?

I relocated the Washington Nationals to be the Montreal Expos. You lose all the existing uniforms and are given only two uniform slots, one home jersey and the other the road jersey though you are free to do whatever you want with the uniform editors. If you want the road jerseys to be white while the home are grey, you can do this. I modeled my jerseys after the Expos 1994 jerseys without the logo on the left arm since the jersey editor does not appear to allow logos to be attached there. I did not go through all city and team nicknames, but the game gives you a whole slew of different city names tied to an audio file as well as a whole slew of team nicknames also tied to an audio file. I have yet to hear the PA announcer or play by play announcers say "Montreal Expos", but there are plenty of times when the game calls me the "Expos" and not as many opportunities, but they do call me "Montreal" as well. Plus you are given the opportunity to enter in a 3 digit city name for score boards and "MTL" is what I used. You are stuck in the division the original team was located in, which was a non-issue for me since the Expos did play in the NL East prior to relocating to Washington. Finally you can choose any stadium in the game as your stadium for home games. If you want to choose the Rangers new stadium, you are allowed to do it. I ended up choosing the Old Miami stadium for a few reasons, mainly it is a MLB sized stadium with virtually no branding. I did not want to constantly look at some other team's logo in CF or wherever else the logos are located. Plus the other reason why I choose the Old Miami stadium is that the seats kind of sort of resemble the seats at the Big O as well as the fact that the Old Miami stadium is a bit of a dump just as the Big O is a dump.

It is as close to a DD experience you can get really.

Only get 2 uniform slots. Not much new audio (if any).

You can replace any team in the MLB with a relocated team at the franchise start menu, meaning you could put the Rangers in the NL.

Overall bland experience, and I’m doing a franchise with 30 custom relocated teams. Logos tend to look ugly in certain mode menus, audio is very limited.

My advice to anyone trying to get as immersed as possible into this new feature is to choose a big name city not in present day MLB, craft nice looking unis, and pick your favorite classic park and try to stay interested.

Id have probably gotten into it if there was more variety, sounds like it's in its baby stages, I even noticed that unis are missing the sixth button on the jersey, makes certain logos look really dumb. No beuno.
