I stopped the download too. I keep deleting it but when I start the game it goes again. I have canceled all auto updates and downloads from PS4 settings.

Do you just have to stop the download every time you start MLBTS?

You can download it as long as you don’t install. Just say no when it asks if you want to restart the game and update, then just put your PS4 into rest mode when you’re done playing and never exit the game until an update comes along that you actually want. Obviously this only works if you 1.) only play offline modes and 2.) don’t play any other games on your PS4 other than The Show.

It’s all good. WE are playing auto/auto till this is properly implemented. We hope it will be fixed to where it is tied to auto throwing.....not auto fielding.

Those of us that auto field guy manual throw....I should say most of us like having the diamond to see the runners intentions......even though a bunch of know how to play baseball (played for 45 years for christ sakes) I don’t like being blind. I like seeing what the heck is going on.

Too many other variables can come into play during stretch doubles and triples and knowing if we should hit the cut or go for a seed throw to gun down a runner. Simple as that.

Did they fix the roster issue in franchise at least? Where the rosters wouldn’t stick..

Just set the 40 man rosters in the roster file before starting franchise. That'll keep teams from auto-populating the 40-man; using a roster where only the 26 MLB guys are on the 40-man roster is a bad idea.

Then the CPU will set the lineups/rotations appropriately based on the talent and ratings of the players on-hand but they shouldn't add/remove players from the 40 man.

Can you please explain more in depth on this subject? I am reading different answers on this roster sticking bug.

Which is what happened to me. I still have it in queue Just did not install it.

I was able to stop it from DLing also. I'm also auto field,run and manual and kinda surprised there are that many guys that play that way. I've been playing this game every day this week and for the life of me,do not remember if I use that diamond running visual or not? (64 year old mind has been on vacation for 2 weeks,that ends on Monday,this virus appears not to bother construction too much here in Fla.) Anyways,when I boot up tomorrow,you bet I'll will see if I use that.
And thinking about that blue circle,, didn't that bug rear its ugly head a couple of years back? Stay safe gents !

I do everything manually except run the bases. I'm just total crap at it, and have a really hard time getting the lead runner to move without all of them doing so. Which leads to me either not taking nearly as many bases as I could have, or else having my trailing runner thrown out when he absolutely shouldn't have been running at all. Which all leads to scoring a lot fewer runs than I otherwise would, and makes the game less fun.

I always play auto fielding / auto base running and it’s annoying they took the diamond away. I wish it was an option instead of a permanent removal.
