I can cancel the patch download if it hasn't fully downloaded yet, correct? I'll just stick with 1.05 until these issues get fixed.

Do not DL this thing if you have not already.

It is a total mess.

I have been now regulated to online DD until all this is fixed.

If you play clean screen/auto field/manual or auto throw?

Game is simply unplayable now. Literally unplayable.

I have never in my history of playing this game have said such a thing.

All we can do is wait for the fixes to come out.

I am blown away right now.

For once having no internet and not being connected all the time pays off.

Sorry for everybody that is getting screwed right now. But very glad I do not download any patch for this game until I check on here.

Is playing manual fielding and base running for the time being an option? I know it's not your preferred play style but it's better than online DD surely?

We have a very similar approach to game style but I do manual field and run, so I know this isn't an issue for me with this patch but I'd urge you to try it and see if you can get on with it for the time being.
Maybe I just don't like online or DD but I'd hate to be stuck playing that instead. Good luck

That is what I am going to have to do.....but I better not have to do this permanently or the game will be dead to me this cycle.

I am very sure it will be fixed. But the frustration is boiling over for me. I am miffed at this stuff.

I use Auto Baserunning as I like the Sim aspect of it but I still want to see my icons on the bases. You are literally playing blind with this display off

I feel very much like armor.....the game right now is my only way to decompress from life.....i hate the new patch its broken the game for me and I am sure none of the higher ups are even seeing the complaints to fix it quickly....I will go to manual and see how I do but I like the clean feel of auto

Without doubt this has been the most disappointing Show release I can remember.

From being suckered in to paying the extra to get the game on a Friday because of the lure of "full minors out of the box", only to discover this was nothing of the sort, to the white dot pitch call-out, the blue fielding circle, the pitch speed and type disappearing from the score bug, and now this.
And these are only the things that affect me, there are a myriad of other complaints about other issues affecting people's enjoyment and even ability to play the game.

As we all know these are stressful times, which is why we need the escapism of The Show even more so than normal, to fill the gigantic void of no sports, and to be honest, I still have to do my job to the best of my ability from home, as do millions of others, nurses and other key workers are having to do their jobs under great adversity, which actually to me at least makes SDS's appallingly shoddy performance even more pathetic in the light of key workers having to make sacrifices and so on.

Just bitterly disappointed by the whole thing.

Is there a way to keep the PS4 from updating the game other than completely disconnecting from the internet. I have auto update off but sometime that setting seems to get ignored.

Between Coronavirus and April Fools - man, we're just screwed. Someone pull the plug on 2020 for 30 seconds and then see if we can reset. I agree with a previous sentiment - between the false adveritising of Full Minors and these game updates...what a fustercluck. Catering to the wrong voices, they are...

Correct. You are playing blind.

So it is unplayable for auto fielders....who make their own throws. And even auto fielders who auto throw.....why are these design decisions being made on the fly when none of us have ever requested it.....ever.

It is mind boggling at this point. three significant bugs in total introduced on 1.05 and now 1.06 for those of us who have played this game the exact same way for 15 years plus.

Fixed an issue that was making the crowd drop out completely for small amounts of time

This was a minor annoyance compared to other things, but I'm glad it's fixed.
