The blue circle staying on with Auto Fielding in 1.05, I believe, is a bug.

This below is a design decision.

Lead Runner Window will no longer display if the fielder or runner settings are set to "Auto".

They should provide an explanation of their reasoning here.

This was a minor annoyance compared to other things, but I'm glad it's fixed.

I'll need them to all yell "STEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" now...so I'm glad I can hear them again.

I play MoM so am a little confused so asking before i download. Obviously my fielding is Auto in this mode but are you saying I cant see the runner on 1B leadoff in the corner? This is big even for Mom mode on whether to know what kind of lead he has . Or are you guys taling about the diamond shaped runner dots that shows where all baserunners are? Thanks

Still annoyed no hr camera option. It’s truly the dumbest thing ever to not give us the choice..absolutely no reason at all not to other than a dev most likely being stubborn towards the idea

What’s the rationale behind those that use auto-fielding and auto-baserunning?  Everyone I know that plays uses manual, so just curious why others are using auto and if there is any advantage to it.

Between Coronavirus and April Fools - man, we're just screwed. Someone pull the plug on 2020 for 30 seconds and then see if we can reset. I agree with a previous sentiment - between the false adveritising of Full Minors and these game updates...what a fustercluck.

Now....explain how ANY of the above issues (and they are all clearly 'issues') have anything to do with 'catering to the wrong voices'....

OK...if catering to "the wrong voices" means the H2H guys...sorry, not buying that at all; they do everything they can to have 'control' and complain when they don't. I mean, for crying out loud....they still use ball markers when they pitch!!! This is NOT something that they would demand....

Was this a crap-tastic execution? Absolutely. But I'm not buying for an instant this was done to "cater" to an audience.

No reason to do this.....AT ALL!!!! And if this is the case.....MLB 20 is dead to me. They just killed the game.

While I certainly understand your frustration, I think we should probably give the devs the benefit of the doubt and not think that something nefarious is going on. Also, I'm sure they are working from home, which represents challenges we'll never know. I'm down with waiting longer for larger bug fix patches if it means that it minimizes new bugs, but who knows what their strategy is.

So far, I'm happy with the game overall. Also, thank you for the sliders, Armor

THIS STUFF - the online guys who cheese and complain and whine - it's THOSE VOICES they're listening to. the rest of sim guys here who love a challenging game of baseball where not every hit is an HR and I don't strike 20 guys out a game.

But those things have nothing to do with this! They don't use auto fielding or base-running (though most of them probably should). They want "control" and to be able to execute their bunt cheese stuff.

I came here to figure out why the hell I couldn’t see where a baserunner was at when fielding. Ended up throwing the ball way over the first baseman’s head on the very first play.

The only thing I can think of is that they were trying to make it so that the runner window wouldn’t be shown if there was auto fielding AND auto throwing, making the screen a little bit more clean. However, why can’t we just leave the “Runner Windows” option to do what it’s meant to?

Years ago, I remember somebody posting that they were worried classic pitching would eventually be removed. And one of the developers responded that they didn't believe in taking away options. Where did that philosophy go?

Compared to taking away an entire mode (RIP Season mode, I miss you) some of this stuff is relatively minor. But this minor stuff greatly impacts the user experience, depending on how you play. Between this and the rosters mess, this launch has been very disappointing.

mkharsh is 100% correct...SCEA #1 focus is the online players...blowing this game up to be a slugfest. Only example you need is bunting...and they destroyed butting a fee years ago. All because online cheesers... now with "perfect perfect" on both hitting and throwing...its turning into online Madden and 2k.

It is sad that in these times of uncertainty that they do this. A lot of people are struggling to put food on the table with no jobs. This game is entertainment yet important to a lot of us. They take away an option that a lot of people need and make it unplayable for them. Rad a lot of comments that they are going back to 19. Making that $60-90 that they spent on this unplayable game that could have been 1-2 weeks of groceries for people.

Maybe they will advertise in the winter that MLB 21 will now have a runner window. But early!
