WTH happened? When I turned on the game it had me start all over from the beginning, picking my level and preferred team. Did this game get infected by COVID-19? Not being able to see where the base runners are at is terrible, and it's near impossible to play Defense correctly. I'm trying to understand why they can't leave well enough alone.

I just played a full game with fielding on auto, throwing manual, no base runner diamond. It’s not my preferred experience but it is by no means unplayable for me. I’ve played this game more than enough to know where the ball should be going. You can also use cues from the announcers, crowd, teammates, etc. On offense even though I’ve always used auto, I still make most decisions myself. I just put base-running on manual for me and it doesn’t feel much different from auto. Base runners still go half way and will still do things without you having to prompt them like running when the ball is put in play.

You listen to the crowd to tell i that runner on 3rd, who you can’t see, is tagging up? Your teammates can cue you if a guy you can’t see is going from 1st to 3rd?

There is no workaround it’s not just auto fielding too it’s auto base running, I play on this and tag choices are up to me now I can’t see where my runners are to control that I can’t play on manual I suck at it.. this is a pathetic joke to take this feature out 1 month into a game have they been getting advice from EA??

There goes my fun I was having now I’m going to play ff7r now got my copy yesterday thus games. Now unplayable for me.

Yeah...to say this is a QC oversight would be a DRASTIC understatement.

I love spending the last three weeks singlehandedly playing games for slider testing purposes, only to have a patch RUIN THE GAME the day after I finalize my set...

Said nobody EVER....

SDS needs to fix this immediately....if Covid-19 is the reason for their incompetence up to this point, then they need to hold off on releasing any further patches.

Really disappointed.

I think the fielder marker will eventually get fixed; I'm not as confident this will. This was a design decision, not a bug. And SCEA has tended to be pretty stubborn about reversing design decisions. We'll see.

As a clean-screener who uses auto fielding and manual throwing, I hope it gets reverted, but I'm not sure it will.

Yes the announcers will you tell you when someone is tagging up and if you don’t want someone to go first to third on you, then throw to third...

I think it will. I think they routed it to the wrong toggle and we all have made them aware of it. It needs to be routed to the throwing toggle....not the fielding toggle.

If your not making the throws.....then you don’t need it. If you are making the throws you absolutely need it.

Let’s wait and see what happens.

They executed this poorly there is no way around it. Glad you can play with it off....good for you.

99% of us can’t. When you have a ball hit down the line and a potential corner double....you just do not want to always assume it will be attempted to be stretched into a double because you can make poor throws to second when it was not neccasry because your playing blind.

Also what about man on second....base hit to right......just chuck it home every time? Assume he is going home? Again...playing blind.

It does not work well at all.

It needs to be properly implemented. If your making your own throws in conjunction with auto fielding...99.9% of us want our diamond in the right corner so we can “see” what he runners intentions are.....not guess.

Do guys in real baseball guess? Do they listen to crowd cues? No they see what is in front of them.....same here. We need a visual for it.

Again poor execution and implementation and I am confident they will right this wrong.

Tried manual base running I still suck it’s a mess it’s to hard to control 2 or 3 runners at a time guess I have to deal with auto on and tagging blind if I should move runners or not thus is a joke that it’s removed

Maybe I don't understand what auto baserunning is, but why do you have to do anything... isn't that the point of auto...it makes all the decisions for you on the basepaths..??

Slight correction, they need to release ONE patch that'll fix the 1.05 and 1.06 patches. And then hold off.

Agreed. I just got finished trying to play a game and it’s unplayable for us clean screeners.
