The Show Ads
I know it's just cosmetic but is anyone else a bit annoyed with the mass amount of The Show 20, Everybody Loves the Show & The Show ads scattered all over stadiums. I know they are acquiring realistic ads but how about a few fake ads to fill the gaps. Just a thoughtLast edited by JayD; 04-01-2020, 07:24 PM.Tags: None -

Re: The Show Ads
I dont understand who they're advertising to. I already have the game. chances are their not-so subtle subliminals are not going to persuade me to go right back out and buy a second copy. but at least those aren't Diamond Dynasty advertsOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: The Show Ads
I hate when games have their own logo plastered everywhere, it's not like I don't know what game I'm playing and if I was watching a stream or Youtube video, I'd still know what I clicked on to begin with.YouTube: MLB The Show 21 Atlanta Braves FranchiseComment

Re: The Show Ads
Yes yes yes not really annoying but it does break the immersion a bit. Fake ads would be preferable to being flooded with ads for a game I've already purchased.

Re: The Show Ads
It is quite unsightly, but it’s brought up every year. And the reason behind it is plain as day.
These ads aren’t for us. It’s for anyone that may see a glimpse of the game somewhere and be enticed to say “what is that?” Because, believe it or not, not everyone plays video games or owns a PlayStation.
If they can increase brand awareness in any manner, they will always do it.Comment

probably the best they can hope for is someone buying the Show as a birthday/Christmas gift. or to someone who likes really unique drink coasters.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: The Show Ads
maybe they'd get as much bang for their buck if they put up a billboard in a Iowan cornfield. if they're hoping to raise brand awareness to someone who doesn't even play video games, they arent going to sell a lot of copies to them. maybe a few. maybe Sony's looking for a new consumer base. people who dont play video games, or even own consoles lol

Also, people who see a decent looking product often become interested in said product, regardless of whether they’d ever personally use it or not. Sometimes those people simply discuss the game, remember it for later, or even research it and buy stock in the company that produces said products.
Weird how the world works, I know.Comment

not me, I came out of the womb with my joystick in one hand and a grill cheese sammich in the other
*puts sarcasm back down*
I would like to be able to edit the Show signage like you could in EA's NCAAF fans in the stands posters to read what you want them to sayLast edited by Caulfield; 04-01-2020, 09:04 PM.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: The Show Ads
There's always 'Lobster Cola'.
My two cents is that we've always had to endure these TheShow ads and this year is actually an improvement with the advent of some real ones. It's extremely geeky on my part but I'm actually getting a big kick out of the CITGO sign over the left field wall at Fenway.Comment
