Re: Whats Your Favorite MLB 20 Default Hitting/Pitching Camera?

I used Strike Zone 3 (default camera in 20) for a while, but went back to Fisheye. I'm able to get a better read on low/high pitches with that camera.

For pitching, I always use Broadcast.

TNK good idea on posting more pics. That Fenway one looks easy enough to replicate as there are lots of static reference points.

              Hitting: catcher high

              Pitching: fish eye

I've always preferred the catcher view, plus my intro to the Show involved a lot of couch vs multiplayer, so broadcast was always a bit jarring to me.

Fish eye not only gives me a nice view of the stadium, but hampers my pitching ability a bit (I'm much better at pitching than hitting) in a way I feel is fair and let's me naturally keep an eye on any runners.

That last part is key for me. Needing a runner window takes me out of the experience a bit.

I'm a die-hard fan of the "Retro" hitting camera. My biggest weakness as a hitter is with reading pitches down in the zone. This camera has a very minimal downward angle, so I can really read them. Now, the trade-off is that having that minimal downward angle means a reduced ability to time my swings. It works insanely well for me at keeping everything all nice and balanced.

Pitching...broadcast all the way. With clean screen and vibration off, it is glorious because the different angles for each stadium make it more challenging to know exactly how much to aim your pitches...building-in a little 'home field advantage' to the CPU for road games.

I also pitch from the catcher view, it's a custom view I created that really shows the strike well, but also a great view of the stadium. I feel like it helps me with pitching to aim for a particular spot. The pitching views from behind the pitcher aren't as aesthetically pleasing plus zoomed out too far from the strike zone.

Finally went back to retro last night and I can for sure say the funk I was in online and offline hitting and taking pitches was because I went away from the retro camera.

I won like 13 event games and 2 RS games after the switch back. I was walking a ton, so much easier for me to pick up those off speed pitches and where the pitches are low in the zone.

I use a custom camera for hitting. Fish eye moved slightly downward. Pitches up in the zone are much easier for me to read with this camera. Except when I'm on the road playing the Angels. Hate hitting in that stadium because the ball disappears at the top of the zone because the sky is so bright.

I like Catcher High and The Show 15 batting cameras better for looks, but can't pick up pitches down in the zone and in general just have issues. So Retro it is from here on out.
