I use The Show 15 batting camera.

Don’t know if it’s cause I’m on PS4 Pro or not but I can see differences in spin/seams on certain pitches. Oddly enough it doesn’t look true to their real life counterparts. I think what I make out is most likely related to frame rate and perhaps illusion?(similar to a filmed car tire or helicopter blades?)

The easiest to pick up IMO is the cutter which almost appears to not spin with a seam running mostly left to right on the front of the ball.

I don’t recall ever picking this up in online play however.

Wow. Maybe it is a PS4 Pro thing then. But what about the deliveries where the pitchers have that funky glitchy hand? you know what I’m talking about? Where it looks like the pitcher has 2 hands when he releases? It drives me nuts, they fixed a lot of players from last year but now this year it seems like there’s twice as many more. That in when the pitcher looks like he’s just barely tossing it up there, I can’t stand that either. I change any delivery if the picture does not look like he’s actually throwing it hard unless it’s someone like Dallas Keuchel. I’ve always wanted to post about this and ask about whether they are still using motion capture and if so whether or not there’s a better technology out there. Motion capture seems old. Seems like there has to be a better more accurate way. What’s confusing is have you ever played the mobile game MLB Perfect Inning 20? They captured it perfectly. I’ve done side-by-side comparison of Billy Wagners delivery on the show and in Perfect Inning. That’s not even close. Perfect inning is a perfect exact replication of Billy Wagner, they even capture how he wipes his face with his sleeve after every pitch. I did side by side with roy oswalt as well. It’s actually kind of embarrassing how he mobile gets it so right and the show totally butchers roy oswalts motion. Kershaws too. If there’s any tech gurus out there, can you explain to me why mobile game is an exact replica but the show is nowhere close. Is it because of motion capture? Are they putting some developer in mo-cap suit and he is trying to replicate the player? Is there a newer and better technology or process for this by now?

If you want to try my custom cam - look back through previous pages, I've put up a ton of screenshots

Start with Retro and make a few adjustments - use Boston @ Baltimore and put JD Martinez up to bat, use the parts of the stadium, batters box, etc as reference to adjust the camera

A zoomed out rotated down strike zone 3 is an absolute gem of a camera with base running windows off.

fiddy just want to ask how retro been for u since u went back r u still on it? i want to try retro and im going to try strike zone 3. see which one cuz i cant hit to save my life. i cant be streaming and striking out lol

Commish - my custom cam here is based on Retro, few slight adjustments and you can match it up.....give it a try

If you need to use a scenario for reference - play Boston at Baltimore and bat JD Martinez lead off

Use this pic as a guide and try to line up things like the batters box, the light tower in LF, Martinez elbow vs the window on that building, Martinez waist/belt vs the top of the pitchers eye

If you can focus on those things, it should be fairly easy to adjust the camera and get it as close as possible to mine



Toronto is another stadium you could use with Martinez to get some reference points and adjust the cmaera.....I like using Martinez because his stance is pretty quiet without a lot of movement

My favorite cameras are wide for hitting, pitcher centered for pitching, and broadcast for fielding.
