Country Boy, while I have always respected your opinion on this game (and will continue to do so), I would have to disagree with you here. I just started my first game post patch. Playing as my Twins against the White Sox. Reynaldo Lopez on the bump. Kepler, double off the wall in right center. Polanco, 2-run bomb. Donaldson, solo shot. Cruz, solo shot. Rosario, solo shot. Back-to-back-to-back-to-back homeruns. I was hitting homeruns before the patch, but nothing like this. With Rosario, I was trying swing early and purposely mess up the timing, and he still blasted one out of here.

I know it is only one game (one inning) but is anyone else seeing that hitting has become too easy?

Edit: Right after typing this, Buxton hits a 3-run homerun. Still in the first inning. Lopez has been pulled, now facing Herrera.

I've played 5 games since the patch and hitting feels no different now than before. That's just my experience.

I'm currently playing a game against the Dodgers in Dodger Stadium where it's 1-0 us in the bottom of the 7th and the only run came on a RBI groundout by Brendan McKay. There has been a total of 4 hits in the game between the two teams (each have 2)

So for my experience nothing has changed. Maybe you're experiencing a one game fluke, or maybe that trend will continue, who knows, but I don't feel as though the patch has done anything to hitting, especially since it wasn't mentioned in the notes.

I have not seen a difference with hitting. I actually just had a 2-1 game. There are runs and ebbs and flows. I still think there are ultimately too many home runs this year, but no change with this patch.

So for my experience nothing has changed. Maybe you're experiencing a one game fluke, or maybe that trend will continue, who knows, but I don't feel as though the patch has done anything to hitting, especially since it wasn't mentioned in the notes.

I think the problem may be is we talk about things in the game, but everyone plays on different levels, with different sliders, different options different gamer ability, etc. Like arguing about apples and oranges.

I just played my first post patch game against Yankees.. and its was a 12-11 game I lost
I hit 6 Homer's and yanks hit 5
I was up 11-8 in the 8th when Wade came up with bases loaded. Anyways 2-2 count and I tried to throw 4 seamer down and in with a good release, ball goes down the middle and out for a grand slam
Game does feel off, definitely not the same game

Was struggling to get a bit before patch,was even thinking about going to all-star,then since the patch I've hit 9 hrs in 2 games. I'm on hof with Mike Lowe's sliders.Guys I'm not this good.I think it's the patch.Gonna play a few more.

Let me be clear. I am not blaming the patch for my issues with the game. Nothing for me has changed with any of the patches. I am just having issues with some elements of the game this year.

well the fielding issue is STILL in the game. literally just happened to me, ran to the spot and the player just let the ball hit him in the chest.*

This is really driving me nuts!

Right now fielding in MLB The Show 20 is the worst I have ever seen since playing the game!

Way too many times I run to the ball and the fielder can't catch the ball or they run past it. I am also seeing to many errors with good fielders on routine grand balls in the infield!

This is so bad I almost do not want to even play the game at this point.

May have to even go back to 19

I haven’t noticed any changes in hitting after the patch. I haven’t experienced the fielding problems yet either.

Ok, just had 2 issues in the first couple of innings of a play now game against the Padres. First, 2 outs bases loaded, a ball hit to my third baseman, should have caught it but the ball went straight through his glove like he wasn’t even there. Turned an out into a 3 run double. Next inning a ball hit to Stanton in left, went to the catch circle and the ball landed about 4 feet behind him. He didn’t even put his glove up, just stood there. This never happened before the patch. They need to fix what they screwed up with this patch, and then stop releasing updates and just let the game be. I’ve never seen SDS as bad as they’ve been this year. It’s not acceptable by any means.

I just love how these threads are all people having issues and the other half is all nope not me it just all in your head. SMH

OS really has just become a cesspool of fanboys and haters. No real helpful info or people at all.

Like The Show, I think this place has run its course.
