This happened to me just the other day, very frustrating and it was to a good fielder to boot.

Fielding has to get fixed. This is awful. I'm getting frustrated. I don't mind losing, but 2 to 3 times a game this stuff is happening. Not locking in until late and not in the right spot.

2nd baseman glitch where he never locks into branching for a routine pop up behind his position in shallow right field has me extremely frustrated. It’s happened 3 times in my last 2 BR games. Pretty tough to cough up hits, yes hits, because it’s not registering these as errors even though the ball is hitting his body as it drops. It’s only happened since the last patch.

Disagree with the labels. The problem is trying to distinguishing the differences with skimpy info that is given. I just don’t know how anyone can objectively help another gamer with all the unknowns, i.e. level the play on, sliders, etc., etc.

Agree KnightTemplar, you have sliders - rosters - gameplay - presentation - level of play - and many more options which players have asked for. Players need to put in the time, not just a few innings, just like MLB.

Agree KnightTemplar, you have sliders - rosters - gameplay - presentation - level of play - and many more options which players have asked for. Players need to put in the time, not just a few innings, just like MLB.

No, ideally players should be giving info on their settings because it might help track down a specific situation for these bugs if we can find a common link between them. Players should be sending these clips in to SDS anyway to let them judge too because only they're in position to actually address bugs.

I could count on one hand how many mishaps I've had in fielding this year; most of which I know were my mistakes. Other people are having tons of issues that they aren't causing.

We all download the same game, so what's the difference between how my game is playing and theirs? I have no idea, but I bet we could figure out some leads with more detailed discussion.

Some people end up missing catches on balls hit right at them, and meanwhile I get lock-ons from the next county over.

It's Ranked Seasons, in case there's any question about the settings. The first one locks on right after my first side shuffle, and the second one is pretty obvious. Might seem like the second one wasn't that far away at first, but it was still tailing and ended up quite a ways away from where the lock-on took over.

I just don't understand what I see in the videos from others, because it doesn't reflect my experience at all.

Some plays it locks in like that for me as well. I see most of my issues on the run. Player doesn't lock in.

I use button fielding if it matters and play franchise mode.

Frankly I don't see anything wrong with that clip and that's how I want the game to play. I've had the same animation pre-patch if it means anything also.

edit: that was in response to the first lineout. The second one just seems like a normal flyball minus the weird ball circle.

Nothing written in the patch notes is even remotely close to the hitting being alterd in any way. You can bet your bottom dollar if a change was made to the physics, contact, power, timing, pci etc they would've said so.

Why would you think this? Do you honestly think that the developers would add in every single change to the gameplay? Of course not. If they fixed something specifically for DD that negatively affected franchise and they knew about it, do you think they'd say, "yeah, we fixed fielders missing fly balls in DD, but in franchise it's still broken so you're SOL?"

Of course I also believe that they release patches without proper testing so other things break that they aren't even aware of, which is why I am TOTALLY AGAINST issuing 57 damn patches every cycle.

Literally every damn cycle this development team does this and it's happened for YEARS. Yes, I am the object of ridicule here, I don't care. People are FINALLY seeing what I've been seeing for YEARS.

Thanks. The game was playing great for me, no problems, but found myself flailing when my eyes would get tired and I had problems focusing. I’d play 3 innings, save the game, rinse, repeat. Just wasn’t enjoying it. Now I’m all in again.
