Since we can't import created players from the vault into an active franchise...

how many of you guys plan to handle the upcoming 2020 draft this way?

I'm not sure how many players are drafted in The Show, but let's say 5 are drafted by each team. Instead of using the fictional players, how many of you edit the players into their real life counterparts from the draft including their names, positions, heights, weights, age, hair color, and race? For those of you who do, how do you determine the attributes as far as power, durability, speed, contact, etc? Myself, I wouldn't be spending much time at all on the faces. I'm more curious as to the source you rely on to come up with the ratings for each draft pick.

BoomerSooner puts out some good CAPs for the draft ever year, so I usually download his CAPs from the vault, take screenshots of everything and go through and edit the draft picks in the franchise.

Hold That Tiger also made an NCAA roster this year, so I might use that as well for some of the college players.

Great idea. I’m going to use both of these. Do you know about how many players each team drafts on average? I don’t mind the franchise having a mind of its own with trades and signings. I just hate fictitious players.

In past versions the draft goes only about 7 rounds before you run out of players.

I draft by real life position picks (I control all teams, BTW). I save the 4th round for International picks. I sign for each team all players that were signed IRL, then in the off season I start editing names, heights/wt, T/B, slight position alterations if needed, and use MLB draft tracker for appearance. I usually only do that for picks from 1-3, so I have fictional players in other rounds for guys that get traded when I need a no name to throw in for my game. For international picks I go to the signings (I think it is June 1 or 2) picks from the previous year, and try to edit at least names and age.

If a real player breaks out and he's languishing in my league I bump up the attributes a bit, but if in my league he washes out so be it.
