Minor league options.

I recently sent Nico Hoerner back down to Triple-A Iowa after Javier Baez returned from his stint on the IL. When I did so it gave me the notification that doing so would use one of Hoerner’s minor league options, which would be correct. However, after a week has passed I noticed that Hoerner still has all three of his options remaining and under “OPT USED,” is now says, “YES.”

Shouldn’t this have changed to 2? Maybe I’ve never noticed how it works before but in the past I thought it changed.

I don't think anything should have changed to 2 based on what you said. It should either say 0/3 used(if he had all his options and it glitched), 1/3 used(if he had all his options and you used his first one), or 3/3 used(which means he used 3, not he has 3). It would say 2/3 used if this was actually his second option year

It is correct, next year it’ll go down to 2. Maybe a little confusing but that’s how they’ve always presented it in the game. If he was 3 remaining and NO for opt used, he’d stay at 3 next year.

FYI options are option years (if you didnt already know) ... you can send him up and down an infinite number of times during an option year

Yes, and to further add to what Mighty Maxx said, when you call your player up again and send him down again, you won’t get the notification that you will use a minor league option blah blah, it would only ask you if you want to send him down...
