Classic Pitching - Warm up pitches on the mound

I use classic pitching and normally skip the warm up pitches when bringing in a reliever to save time. I tried it last night and noticed that the warm up pitches have an effect on the individual pitch confidence.

Do you take advantage of this or skip the warm ups? If you do use the warm up pitches, do you focus on a pitch or two or spread them out to all pitches?

I use all of my pitches every time. Make sure you throw strikes though to build their confidence. I usually throw my main pitch once or twice more than the others.

What he said. Relievers primarily rely on two effective pitches...I focus on them during the warm up, usually a split between the two. If it is a long reliever, I might sneak in his third pitch but it’s rare.

I use Classic pitching with a twist... I set the games to quick counts and use a 1-button pitching style.

        - Pitching set to Rookie difficulty - pitch sliders set to 100% speed
        - I only select the pitch without moving the (L) stick to locate.
        - Manual fielding (fielding/throw)
        - Veteran hitting vs. 100% pitch speeds

I get a fair amount of walks and Ks and the games roll by pretty quickly.

Do you guys use all 8(I think) of your warm up pitches ? Or do you stop when your “ready to pitch” thing is full ? Does continuing to throw the warm up pitches have any affect on stamina?

I don't use the warm-up feature... I'm trying to grind through a season and having to warm pitchers up will only slow me down.

I turn pitch confidence off, so I only use the warm up pitches if I need them to help get a pitcher ready

I've always used the warm up pitches but what happens if you don't have that enabled and the starter gets injured early in the game and you don't have anybody in the pen, does the replacement come in cold?

No they come in fully warm without needing warmups. The visual is incorrectin that instance

What mode are you guys playing? I've been playing offline franchise for years, and I've never even been given an opportunity for warm-up's using classic pitching. Is there a setting I'm missing? Thanks.

Yes, there is a setting called "warm up pitchers". It needs to be toggled 'on'.

Does it matter where you aim the pitches, corners, up, down etc? Or is it fine if you just hit the strike zone? Most of the time I do aim pitches but sometimes can't be bothered that much.

I could be wrong but as long as it’s in the strike zone the confidence in the pitch should go up. I usually purposely make breaking balls “hang” so that they’ll be in the zone.
