Classic ballparks I want MLB The Show to add

MLB The Show 17 is the last time we can truly say they "added" new classic stadiums. Here's some suggestions I would love to see added to the game. It is long overdue to give us some classics or even some classic looks to current stadiums. I made this post a few years ago (2017) and I've added some. It was fun seeing what folks think. Maybe one day they'll add a few.

    Classic Wrigley Field:

I want this version pre-lights, with the folks on the rooftops that actually live in the building. The old, red roof Budweiser building with just the two chairs on top. Would be a fun escape.

    Classic Fenway Park:

No seats on the Monster. This classic version for Fenway would be something a lot of folks would enjoy.

    Comiskey Park:

Old Comiskey is one a lot of fans have asked for and should be included. Bonus points if we're allowed to start an anti-disco riot that forfeits the game.

    Ebbets Field:

This one is almost criminal we don't already have it included. We have the Polo Grounds, give us Ebbets Field! All I can figure is some licensing issue somewhere but something has to give. We need the ball park in Brooklyn!

    Braves Field (Boston):

I could have gone with Fulton County stadium, Turner Field just closed, but I decided to go in the way back machine to a time the Braves played in Boston. This is a cool stadium that I don't believe we've seen in a baseball video game before. Also, check out these crazy dimensions for this ball park: Left Field:402 Center Field:550 Right Field:402. Home runs would be rare adding to another level of fun playing there. Could even make an achievement for hitting a home run there.

    Old Tiger Stadium:

A true classic. This another one that should be added and is a no brainer edition.

    Cleveland Municipal Stadium:

Not a great stadium but a must if I want to recreate Wild Thing's win in Major League.

    Milwaukee County Stadium:

I did say I wanted to recreate Wild Thing's win from Major League right? While the movie was actually shot here.

    Astrodome:

This is second MLB stadium I ever got to go to. I am not a fan of dome baseball stadiums but this one is historic and should be included.

    Exhibition Stadium

This was considered one of the worst fields in MLB. The first home of the Blue Jays would look cool as virtual field though.

    Hilltop Park:

The original home of the New York Yankees. This could be a cool addition.

    Union Grounds:

This was the first enclosed baseball stadium. Its weird shape makes it a cool idea to include. It's history as the first true American ballpark gives it a historical reason to be included.

Those are some of my thoughts. What do you guys think? Do you like these and what stadiums did I not include would you like to see added? If you can, include pictures for more fun.

I think we can forgo the mistake on the lake. It may be an important part of Jays history but I think only the historic league players would care about seeing that one again, and even then only for the sake of accuracy.

I always watched the Jays in the dome and I'm not exactly young.

Would love if they would just allow adding lime green Astro Turf & the physics that would bring to playing surfaces!

Also with real grass allow field detrioration ie bare dirt spots/holes, divots (yellowing dry grass in the fall) as the wear & tear of the season goes along.

The licensing fee for Ebbets is off the hook. That's the main reason we don't see it in the game anymore. It's not a cost SDS is willing to take on at this point.

I don't know about the other stadiums.

I don't see an issue as long as they don't call it "Ebbets Field". ASB 2005 called it "Retro Dodger".

Neat thread. It is cool seeing the old stadiums again. My top vote would be for Cleveland Municipal Stadium as I have a lot of early memories there with my dad.

Along the same lines and staying in the AL Central, modern MLB speaking, I would also like to see Tiger Stadium to get to play some classic Indians and Tigers matchups.

I'd never heard of the Jays old stadium but when I saw that weird design I wanted to see it in a video game. Reading about it I know it is not thought of fondly. I even read a player was fined for hitting a bird with a ball there once.

Still, I just think it might look cool in the game. But I do agree it isn't high on the list. It is more of the oddball look. And I was trying to include something for a few teams that no one ever thinks about having another stadium.

Cool thread Scoop. If you like wierd stadium layouts we have to add the Dodgers playing in the LA Coliseum their first year out west. 250 foot home runs to left and 440 foot flyouts to right.

                        My list:

                        Tiger Stadium
                        Riverfront
                        Memorial Stadium (Baltimore)
Candlestick (gotta love those chain link outfield fences)
                        Busch Memorial Stadium circa 70's

Thanks for the feedback. I may do a classic uniforms request thread next. Of course as a Cubs fan I'll have a lot of Cubs requests!
